  • Stay well clear!

I became involved in them through completing a survey on myoffers.co.uk (Sent them a 'nice' letter of complaint for them advertising conmen!)

They pestered me on my mobile whilst I was in work - they wanted my credit card details to get the ball rolling to pay towards an 'unbiased' property valuers assessment. If I didnt proceed quickly, the investor who already wanted my property (without any inspection or valuation) couldnt wait much longer and would loose interest.

What concerned me immediately was that they already had an investor wanting to buy my property and they were going off the property postcode of my new home not the one I was selling. First mistake, when I told them they were looking at the wrong property which was 10miles away from the property I am selling, the investor also desperately wanted this postcode area too - how convenient.

I fobbed them off and they said they would follow up with me in 5days. Then guess what? The rang me 3 times a day for 5 days and ignored my instructions not to call me as I was at work during the day.

However they persisted, at one point I told them didnt have a credit card on me and wasnt ready to make a decision on anything yet (just to fob them off as my boss was stood behind me!). They then asked me for a member of my families mobile so they could take payment off them if i was too busy (said with a slight huff that I was inconveniencing them!!). Told them no and they badgered until I politely hung up. Guess what, called 30mins later, same questions!

Got really annoyed and opted not to be polite on Friday pm.

Told them straight that they were con artists and never to call again or I would contact the police.

See what Monday brings as I doubt they will give up just yet.

STAY WELL AWAY FROM THEM - NO NVESTOR WOULD PAY MORE THEN THE MARKET VALUE AND IF THEY WANTED THE PROPERTY SO BADLY THEY WOULD PAY THE FEES UP FRONT!
  • i was in a situation where i was loosing my property, and had nowhere to turn, i saw first direct investments advertised in the paper and when i phoned them, they were ever so helpful, they did a valuation of my house, and then found me an investor in a week or so, throughout the whole process they were always willing to help me with any queries that i had, i now own a smaller house and am not longer in debt. thanks first direct investments. i'd recommend you to anyone
  • I had my property on the market for over 8 months with my local agent when a friend mentioned to me that she had seen an advert for a company that would sell my house at full market value to a cash investor. I called them (first direct investments) and the gentleman i spoke with sounded like he knew what he was talking about so i thought i would give it a go. My agent had advised me to drop my price because of the market conditions and when first direct investments came for their valuation i was surprised to find that their valuation figure was higher than what i had mine on the market for! Within 6 days of the valuation first direct investments called me to say that they had an investor that wanted to purchase my property at the price we had agreed on at the valuation. I accepted the offer and recieved conformation in writing within 48 hrs. During the sale first direct investments were always available to give me updates and the sale completted within 10 weeks of my original call!! I would recommend thes guys to anyone that wants to sell their house and i would certainly use them again!:j

of course it could be genuine

They get mugs in a fast track type senario, and line up this property taking £800 fee off the seller and a similar finders fee of the buyer, they get £1500 and some mug gets sticked up with a worthless property.

Still it sounds dodgy so I would tell them where to go.
