    Hi,

Can anyone confirm the cost of parking at parks other than Disney. I know Disney charge $12.00 to park, but do Sea World, Busch Gardens, Universal and Islands of Adventure? I've had a look on The Dibb and cannot seem to find any info.

I've got 12 days in Florida, and I plan to do AK, HS, Epcot, MK, Universal, IA, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Cape Canaveral and a waterpark.

Is there anything else that is a must do?

    many thanks,
    Judy

Disney will be 14 bucks from tomorrow

I am afraid so guys. We are waiting to here from Ian the owner as to what is happening BUT if you have booked your car hire through yesCarHire then please please contact your credit card company or bank ASAP.

If your booking was over £100 then your credit card company (if yo used it to book) is jointly liable for the service so you will get your money back

BUT if you have booked a car and are travelling in the next few days you may well have to contact your travel insurance people and get them, to agree that you can hire another car.

I had a one way car booked from our house to Tampa so I have re booked with Budget directly.

    Cheers

    hello all

Having been florida several times in the last decaade i am again looking to go next year.

However on previous occassions i have stayed in Hotels etc..

Can anybody recomend a decent Villa website for me to look at ?

    Thanks

    darren
  • Hi Darren

We booked our villa direct through some one who advertises on the dibb we knew we wanted to stay close to disney and not out on highway 27 as we have before, so looked at all the villas advertised on there in the area we wanted and narrowed it down to the one we eventually booked.

When booking a villa you have three choices ...

    1) Use a travela getn and you have all the usual ABTA etc protection but you often do not have a precvise address or location for the villa

    2) Book directly with an owner - as Bev says many on teh Dibb but remember they are selling you somethign so please take a ll the usual precausions. Do not pay for everythign up front and make sure that the person can give refecnces etc and has proper photographs and a website that you can check. Check also you have their real name and address and that this is also listed on their web site. All teh good ones do and as teh Dibb charges you to advertsie there do not think they will protect you if it all goes wrong.
    3) use a last min type website. Many out there and a lot of the villa owners I know advertsie with them.

The prices, well 1 is dearest then 2 and finally 3 will be cheapest/

But do a search and find some grreat villas out there. Also pick the size you need. 3, 4,5 ,6 bed? How many floors, how big a pool, LOcation Location Location is key really.

Craig, only just clicked by reading the bottom of your post that your the Craig of the podcasts. Love them and please keep them up, make walking the dog far easier and less boring (for me anyway, the dog has no comment to make). We staying nearer Kissimee next year, spent most evening this year around ID. I've looked at the Old Kissimee Town website but found it a bit boring to be honest. Any pointers to other sites which highlight whats around the area and with proper reviews of the restaurants?

    Thanks

a-ha yes thats me :) For my sins - its good fun doing them and to be honest i do not have to do much its Juz and Adam that do all the editing I just spout rubbish for three hours on a monday.

Are you staying in Kissimmee in the 192 area? There is LOTS to do around there of course and some great places would be the Green Meadows petting farm for one. I woudl say the Eye on Orlando website has some good links on it and as we do not do it for money I am sure its OK to point you there.

Resturant reviews, over the years I have suffered and enjopyed many- whats your preference food type and I can certainly point you to the cheap, the moderate and the posh ones for sure.

    Cheers
