Its a Brit Disney/Orlando site.Excellent, really but a little too big now. And an awful lot of repetitive questions!! But well worth a look through!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

I agree its OK BUT a) the information on the actual site (not the forums) is WAY out of date and wrong and b) the forums have many many good people on it BUT the questions come up the same again and again and OMG some can go on and on and finally c) they dont like me or anyone that does not pay them money! We were asking for some news and views for the Podcasts (which are completely free and we do out of the goodness of our hearts) and they banned Adam (my co host) and sensor us. Its their site and of course they can do whatever they like but I prefer to tell uit as it isBut check it out.
Its Brit orientated so you will see pertaniant Brit stuff and people will always answer a question you have with the best intentions out there.
Other good Disney sites, well teh Dis Boards are great as are the forums on WDWRadio, con which Is Lou Mongellos site and that man has Disney running throuh his bloodSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

Spoke to a company today with the intention of putting my mind at rest as how this works...What financial protection do i have...what if i get there and i cant get in the house ?
All they could say is that i would need to phone a management company who would sort it out....not putting me at ease....

There is a few tips I can give you. They all involve a little bit of detective work though on your part.
Once you have foudna villa you like, go to that villas actual website, not a referral like last min villas. On their actial site check the contact us button. If if has a persons name and UK address and UK landline you are onto a winner already.
Call them up and talk to them. Ask them for the actual address of the villa dn also ask for the county in which its in. Will be Polk or lake or something.
Then go to Google and type in Polk County Florida Property appriaiser and then when you go to that siteenter the address (even in part) and the owners namea and that will tell you if they actually own teh villa
You can do the same for the county tax collector as well and that shold for sure tell yo uhow owns the villa.
Then look at payment terms. A lot of villa owners take payment via credit card or paypal both giving you protection of course. Also you pay a deposit up front etc and then the rest before you go.
Ask for references and phone numbers from other people who have stayed there.
Also have a look at https://www.top-forums.com which is a website just for villa owners who rent,. many good people on there as well.
Also as mentioend go to the Dibb and ask a villa renter a question. They all have lots of info on their villas so you cna check it out.
The worst I have ehard is people still taking booking whilst they know the bank are going to short sale or foreclose the villa,. that sucks but thats a rare occurance.
Hope that helps a bitSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

Whats cheapest?
1. Package Deal
2. Buy Hotel and Flights seperate
Me and the other half were thinking of going for the last 2 weeks of October. I would be grateful for any help, or pointers to any deals?
Thank you.0 -
I would suggest that you price up both but remember that that is half-term so maybe a little busier than beginning of November.January Grocery 11/3740

Yes they look good but we can get a private owner on floridays and get a 2 bed for 2 weeks for £900 but the homewood suites are $249 per night so it might have to be floridays. We are taking the inlaws with us, they don't drive and are getting on but they still insist of the confort of villa type facilites but don't want to be in the middle of nowhere. I;ve been racking my brains for somewhere to stay where we won;t be abdoning them when we go to the parks.0
