do we need international driving licence in orlando?

This was something that was being considered but has now been repealed. The proviso, iirc was that the licence had to be in English. If yours is from a different country, then this may not apply.

We're off to Disneyworld in Feb with our two sons aged 4 and 7. Can anyone recommend any particular show or restaurants we should book? Thanks

There are a loads of nice restaurants, if you want to do a character dining experience we have done Tusker House for breakfast a couple of times in Animal Kingdom, there are plenty of food choices hot and cold and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy come round for photo's. Other's we liked are Rainforest Care in DTD and T-Rex. T-Rex can be quite loud though so depends how are boys are with this, mine loved it.

    Hi
Can any point me in the direction of reasonably priced 3 day tickets for disney(florida) if you can get them? Thanks :)

    There are basically 2 choices,
the UK Premium/Ultimate' tickets, which are available for 7/14/21 days within a 14/21day period and include all the optional extras such as water parks and park hopping,
or Magic Your Way tickets, available on the gate, which are available for 1-10 days, and will give you entrance to any of the Disney parks, one park per day. Current price for a 3 day base ticket (no extra) is $257 adults/ $240 children (3-9)
The more days you buy, the cheaper it is per day, IYSWIM, so a 4 day ticket, for example, will only be $14-$15 more than 3 days.

4 parks, 3 days - which park are you planning to skip?
2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

    2021 £1250.00, 2022 £1500.00, 2023 £1500, 2024 £1350
    2025 target = £1200, YTD £9190

Thanks Claire, both of my boys love dinosaurs so T-Rex sounds perfect and I'll be looking at the others too. Do you think we need to book these in advance do you think or can we just turn up on the day?

i,m looking at going to orlando in sept 2014 and been looking for flights
nowt available till 11 months in advance
i,ve just been told that flights are released early to certain travel agents
does anyone know which travel agents these are?????????

    thanks

I think I'm right in saying that these will be for package deals e.g. virgin holidays or Thomson or Thomas cook etc. We have always found it cheapest to book flights ourselves at 11 months out at this is the cheapest way. Hope that's helpful. KK xx

T-Rex and Tusker house you will need to book for, you can book anytime from 180 days before your stay (this seems extreme, but we booked 180 days exactly to get our t-Rex reservation and still could only get 9pm! This was in school holidays mind you) but Rainforest Cafe you might just be able to walk in, this would be most likely at lunchtime at the Animal Kingdom one rather than dinner or the Downtown Disney one. Good luck and have a wonderful holiday! KK xx

Just booked breakfast for Tusker house on valentines day - seems very weird booking so far in advance. Can't currently get a table for T-rex but some of our stay isn't released yet so I will keep checking daily! Thanks for your advice x

Hi Naomim - just to say, we visited this year in the last week of May, first two weeks of June and would never go at this time of year again. The last week of May was ok, but the US schools start breaking up in June and the parks were just too busy to appreciate anything. We are lucky that we have been many times before and so know what we want to see, but for your first time I think this would be a nightmare. For example in the Magic Kingdom queues for the big rides were 2hrs plus and all fastpasses were sold out by 11am.

If you're really tied to school hols could you go in the October half term instead? I find the climate much better in Oct (no humidity), it's much quieter in the parks and you have all the halloween events :)

Sorry for late reply, been on hols :) It's DD's birthday during October half term which would be fab but it will be DS's first year of secondary school and don't want to take him out.:(

Its been over a couple of years since I have been on this thread, sadly due to illness but we are off next May again.
I am now a wheelchair user, so we always hire from the park.
A tip for others, instead of going to disabled parking ,
especially at MK is to ask the car park attendants to park in the normal lanes but at the end of the row so its straight onto the trams. Go early because the scooters are uaually all gone later in the morning.
Anyway we are looking forward to May, and hope that First Choice do some last minute cheap flights!!
