Does your son also travel for free on the £64 coach journey to Paris?
If not, I'd consider the Eurostar instead for that leg as it costs pretty much the same.

If Paris Gallieni is where I think it is, then good news - you're on the right side of Paris for Disneyland. If I'm correct, you'll be dropped off outside line 3 of the metro and Gallieni is the end of the line. Quickest to get to Disney would be by car of course - but if that's not possible then you'll need to EITHER get two buses then the RER A, or two metros and then the RER A. Metro is easier than bus imo.

Hi angelil, yes he travels free :) I think Gallieni is the central metro station? Would it be worth staying in Paris close to that station for a day or so (for touristy things, Eiffel Tower, etc) then making the trip over to Disney? Need a bit of balance from the kiddy stuff and me wanting to do museums and things :) Thanks!

Yes thats a good cheap price for DLP for Jan/Feb (its the normal discounted price for that time of year).

I would take the Eurostar though, direct to DLP from London St Pancras, if you book your seats as soon as they become available, in the next couple of weeks I believe, you will only be £69 return total (possibly less if you are aged under 26?). That means no further transfers necessary, as the direct Eurostar to DLP takes you to the gates of the parks, and the onsite hotels are at most 15 minutes walk away, and there are free shuttle buses serving all the hotels, all day and evening.

You can easily travel from your DLP hotel into Paris for the day, on the RER. You won't need 5 days worth of DLP park access in Jan/Feb - its the quietest time of the year for DLP and you won't queue for anything really at that time of year (midweek, that is).

Ok great :D I went when I was 13 last, now 21! We went in Nov, is is still as cold?? I remember being frozen! Is Jan worse or better?

Oh- if we go over to Paris, will everything still be open, due to the time of year?

theres the potential for it to be colder in Jan/Feb compared to November. I find its a couple of degrees colder in DLP compared to the Midlands in winter, a couple of degrees warmer in summer. Wrap up warm, plenty of layers, skiwear for your son (and thermals for both of you).

I've not heard of anything touristy in Paris being closed in winter.
  • Hi I'm looking for a secluded/luxury rental home in Florida, up to £1k a week, within 2hrs of Orlando airport. Family of 4. Not on a close/estate, but with pool & hot tub, but no neighbours on the doorstep. Most sites its rows & rows of houses, any ideas?
    Thanks
