The best deal I can find is with http://www.undercovertourist.com, they are Disney authorised (not all sellers are) and although they are Stateside they will post to the UK for around £18. They are tickets not vouchers. If you have to cancel your holiday due to a hurricane, they offer a 100% (refund hopefully you will not have to make use of this!)
We've used Undercovertourist before but this year found Florida Escapes to be cheaper. Tickets delivered, not vouchers, recommended on The Dibb.0 -
My boyfriend and I are thinking of going to Orlando between late August-September, preferably for 2 weeks. We are 21 and 22, and have about £3,500 budget right now but that could increase a bit. Is it worth even trying to do it on this budget? I am a complete newbie and this is the first major holiday I have planned. I'm also undecided on car hire, I have been driving for 2 years and have confidence but I don't know if I will cope over there? Does it work out a LOT easier and cheaper to have a car or is public transport good everywhere?
I also can't seem to find any direct flights from Glasgow or Edinburgh, most of them have at least 1 stop. Is this normal?
Sorry for all the daft questions0 -

If you are relying on public transport the location of your accomodation is probably going o be more important. You need to decide which area you are likely to spend more time in, ie Disney or Universal/Seaworld etc and plan accordingly, or you could split your accomodation with part of your trip in/nearer each area.I also can't seem to find any direct flights from Glasgow or Edinburgh, most of them have at least 1 stop. HI
I am going to Florida in November for the first time. I am so cofnused about where to buy my tickets from. I have checked the sites that have been recommended by Martin Lewis however I have also found a company called kissime guest services who are very cheap. Has any one else used them in the past or can recommend where is best to purchase tickets.
I am looking for wdw, busch gardnes, universal, gator land, sea world, kennedy space, and the boat ride.
Thanks0 -

It is really very easy, particularly for first-time visitors, to 'over buy' attraction tickets, ie buy tickets for everything and then find you've paid £££/$$$ for tickets to visit a month's worth of attractions (or more!) and only 14 days to use them in.
The best (money saving) advice is that you need to work out how many days you will actually have at each park you want to visit, and then explore the different ticket options - you may find that the cheapest way is not to buy multi-park tickets or tickets that give unlimited visits etc2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Hi Hazel,

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I have worked out a plan of what I can and cant do. Mostly cant do's as there is so much. I have had a look about at ticket sites and there is so many to choose form. I have heard really bad stories of people not getting there tickets or getting used/doddgy tickets. I had a look at kissime guest services site but there are not alot of reviews for them and they seem quite resonably priced so looking ot see if any one has booked through them.

This has been debated many times here and general consensus is very much a matter of personal preference BUT, because of your age, car hire is ging to be much more expensive than for anyone over 25 and this probably means public transport would be the better (certainly cheaper) option in your case.
If you are relying on public transport the location of your accomodation is probably going o be more important. You need to decide which area you are likely to spend more time in, ie Disney or Universal/Seaworld etc and plan accordingly, or you could split your accomodation with part of your trip in/nearer each area.
I don't know of anyone flying direct from Glasgow or Edinburgh, so this will mean at least one stop.
I think we will be sticking with public transport, car hire seems a lot more hassle considering we don't have a credit card for back-up or anything. We will probably be doing a bit of both parks, depending on if we can afford Disney or not. I'll definitely be buying Universal tickets since they are considerably cheaper!
I should have said our £3,500 includes spends plus any extra we manage to put away before then.
I'm finding deals for hotel and flights for the 2 of us for around £800-900 each. Is that quite good? Not sure if it includes transfers though.
Oh it's good to know you can fly direct from Glasgow on Saturdays and Sundays.0 -

Well that's kind of a given since you only get 2 parks with the Universal ticket but with Disney you get 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and Disney Quest so you actually get a little more for your money when you break it down.
The deals you're finding sound pretty good to me, you may have to pay extra for transfers but you may find it cheaper (and much quicker than going on a coach that stops at 10 hotels when your stop always seems to be the last!!) if you organise a private taxi through Mears or similar.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Myself and husband are going to Florida on 1st September for 3 weeks and we are paying £3500. This includes direct flights on Thomson dreamliner from Glasgow, Clarion Inn in lake buena vista, 3 weeks car rental and 21 day ticket for disney. You get direct flights from Edinburgh/Glasgow but they will fly into Stanford Airport not Orlando International.0
