Child prices stop at 9.
West Haven is just off H27 which is about 25 minutes drive to Disney, slightly further to Universal. If you're hiring a car, none of the villa communities are more than that away from the parks. We avoid International Drive whenever possible, horrible place IMO
We booked our villa through https://www.floridabeesuk.com we've used them before and the villas are all good. The flights and car through https://www.chartertravel.co.uk.
This is the villa we have booked

Is https://www.ownersdirect.co.uk a good option to look at?0

Oh and I'd like to try and book flights for September 2014 now.... But can't find anywhere to look this early! I know that it is supposed to be 11 months before the flight but surely the villas will be booked up by then? Some of them are already booked up already.
I don't want to book a villa just in case I can't get the flights to suit. Any ideas?0 -
Hi there,
A group of 4 of us are heading to Disney soon, and are hoping to avoid a hire car. I've had a google, and have found some bus/I-rider ideas and am thinking that we'll be fine, but was just wondering if anyone here has been to florida without hiring a car? We have 14 day tickets for everything so aren't really too worried about getting places very quickly!
My biggest worry at the mo is Universal - we are staying by Lake Byran and so not sure the best way of getting there?
Thanks in advance for the help0 -

There are literally thousands upon thousands of villas in the Orlando area so there is no risk all villas will be booked by then, especially in September which is not high season.
That said, if you want a particular villa then you can book now (choose one whe you get your deposit back if you change your mind) and most private owners will be flexible in shifting dates a little if required (if they aren't booked back to back).
I expect you can book a fly drive now for September 2014 but IMO these are often grossly overpriced. Id just wait for scheduled flights to be released (11 months before return date).0 -

Which hotel in Lake Bryan? Do they run a shuttle? I know Lake Bryan and its centrally located but wouldn't be my first choice with no car. Won't be impossible to get around, though.0 -
Thanks Karen, I've been looking at a villa as I feel they offer better value for money instead of hotel rooms. We are looking at 4 adults, 1 child.
We've been looking at floridabee and ownersdirect. Do you know of any other good value ones? We've been looking at the £400 per week mark. I'm thinking that this is relatively good value but can someone confirm that this is an ok price?
Thanks will be given to all replies... Thanks0 -

I'd call that good value :T
We've always rented from the owners section on the Dibb but they do tend to be a little dearer (still worth checking out though?)
I'd suggest you pay careful attention to the exact location of the villa though. Many owners incorrectly describe their location as being "ten minutes to Disney" when it can be a lot longer. It's really really really not worth saving a few quid if you end up with a lot longer drive (last thing you need after a long day in the parks). Again loads of great info on the Dibb about villa locations / communities.
