You are only there for 4 days? Universal only or IOA too? You are probably going to be pushing it..parks are very busy right now...and it's very hot to be in a park all dayBit of a Florida Fan :j

is it possible to get cheap single entry tickets over here?
ie one day universal one day seaworld one day disney?
or is queing over there as cheap (but more hassel)?
(ps we r goning on the 6th aug so not a lot of time maybe go down the vouchers route)0 -
Seaworld ticket single day ticket with second day free are $10 cheaper to buy online and you print out your ticket but don't forget tax will be added to the final total. Second day free ticket is handy to go back for just an evening to catch the evening shows and fireworks.0

Just been doing some initial research into booking Orlando for next Summer, as it will most likely be our last big holiday as a family before offspring start going their own ways.
Plenty of time to haggle costs, but compared to the last time we went, prices seem to have shot up. I know fuel has increased in price, but it seems the overall costs have doubled in 5 years.
It cost £3,500 in 2006 - standard flights, no car hire and a single room to sleep 5. Went back in 2007 and decided on premium flights on the return flight and stayed in an apartment/suites, again no car hire - total of £5,500
Initial costs for next year seem to be around £6,000 for the basics that we got for £3,500 only five or six years ago
Just venting really but it would be interesting if anyone else has noticed this0 -

We've just booked to go for 2 weeks in the school hols next year. Virgin flights, villa and car hire comes to £4800. Price is for 4 adults (well 2 kids but they're classed as adults as they will be 13 and 15 when we travel)0 -

And it's not much cheaper when you are here. We have noticed prices increasing in Orlando too. Disney getting very expensive. The ten buck burger is here.Self confessed Florida expert

Hi Florida experts!
We are just about to book a last minute holiday to Orlando. It'll be 10 days starting 25th August and we will be renting a house in the Orlando area (haven't decided exactly where but there are plenty to choose from). We will also be hiring a car.
With the thread being so long and much of it probably being out of date anyway, I was wondering if you could suggest some current deals? We are only 2 adults going, and like the idea of Universal and maybe some Disney (Epcot?). Maybe Busch Gardens too? I'm guessing they will be expensive regardless, but hate the idea of going there and paying full whack than finding out it's like Alton Towers and no one in their right mind would go there without a 2-for-1!
Is there anything else you can recommend at the same time? I looked on Travelzoo (the American one) and there was hover boat rides on the swamp for $21 per person half price (plus the inevitable taxes!).
Sorry I'm not being very specific in my requests - I've never really looked into it and am still a bit excited to have done groundwork research0
