About to book and had the question over transfers. Is it better to grab a cab, arrange transfers or is there a bus? We'll be staying at Pointe Orlando. Transfers are £40 each and cab (booked) is £160 for the two of us.

Have you thought about car hire? If you shop around, you're looking at 200-250 for a couple of weeks. Not a lot more to pay for the added flexibility it gives you...

Not *everyone* wants to/can drive on holiday! :p

JP, assuming you're flying into sanford, the Mears estimator comes up with a price of $108 to Pointe Orlando one way. We've booked a taxi transfer through our travel agent (because we got 8% off the whole cost of the holiday so it worked out as fairly good value for us). It may work out as less to book directly with a company like Mears or I'm sure you could just Google Orlando Transfers and find some good quotes elsewhere. You could just jump into a taxi at the airport but you won't be sure how much it'll cost if you do it that way. :) Take the £40 bus transfer if you want to save some money but be warned that it can be a very long trip depending on how many stops they have to make which makes a long day of travelling even worse. We got the bus last time and the transfer took 3 hours thanks to the stupid family who got off at the wrong hotel 3 times so we kept having to turn around and go back for them! That explains why we're treating ourselve to a taxi this time! ;)

Sure you have all heard this question 1,000 times, but...

How do I go about applying for visa's to America for a family of five?

    Thanks,

You could get the Public Lynx bus, assuming you are flying into MCO.
the bus goes from the airport and stops all along I Drive it costs about $4-6
We did it,it took a bit of time but saved loads, even though the bus driver told us we were mad!
It does take two hours though.:o

    Which park ?

Tickets in general are cheaper to buy here if you're buying more than one. For the gate prices, just Google the park you're going to. Magic Kingdom is about £65 for an adult and about £60 for a child (age 3-9) It's cheaper to buy more than one day usually.
