    Hi ,

We are wondering if we can get a trip in this year :)

Last year BA had a sale and I got flights for 367 each at the end of October we would really like to go abit earlier as it was cold !

Anyone heard of any sales coming up, TBH we don't care who we fly with as long as we can get there !

    Many Thanks

    BA's sale ends today :)

Well some stuff does, they have an off season where some shows / attractions are taken offline or replaced. So not :rotfl:really :T

They tend to do it as schedule allows..hence one of the most popular rides at EPCOT being shut all of Easter and summer this year..not to worry it should be re-opened for our 3rd trip to Florida this year!

A lot of minor refurbs are done during late Jan/ early Feb.

On countdown now..less than 2 weeks to go and we are off for 6 weeks of Florida fun..:D

Six weeks!!!! Wow, you'll have the time of your life, i'm sure. We are set to do two weeks and I know that there are not enough hours!

In all fairness, we know that there are the parks and DC for the day but where is a good night time place, do they have a good eating and drinking strip like UK?

For evening entertainment go to Universal's City Walk and Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island. Both have plenty of restaurants and bars and there's lots to see and do. There's also International Drive for evenings although it's not so much a strip you can easily go up and down on foot since it's just one looooooong road and the focus is definitely on eating rather than drinking. Pointe Orlando is pretty good for an evening, there are some nice restaurants, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, a cinema, shops, mini golf close by, Wonderworks is close too. Don't forget that a lot of the tourist attractions are open late so you can go to Ripleys/Wonderworks etc on an evening, a God send if it's raining. :) If you've got the money (and it appeals of course) they've got the Blue Man Group at the City Walk and Cirque Du Soleil is at DTD. :)

It's a shame you're not going in October/November as the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is a brilliant evening out (even though the park closes relatively early which is a shame), one of the main reasons we're going in November this year is because we want to catch it! We're planning on going twice and we can't wait! Don't forget about staying for the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios either, they're fantastic. :)

I'm going for my first ever trip in the last week of November and first week of December.
    Cannot. Actually. Wait!

I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what the weather will be like at this time of year? Obviously it varies from year to year, but I just want a rough guideline. A quick search on-line throws up stories mainly from Floridians, who obviously have a different idea of what hot and cold is to us Brits!

Anybody have any winter Orlando experience?

Saw both of these when I was over last year and thoroughly enjoyed both (although to my taste Blue Man Group was far and away the better of the two). I'd also highly recommend going to Medieval Times for the evening. In a month in the states, that was probably the most pure fun we had :)

We have been every December since 2008...
2008 mixed some days mid 60's some mid 70's
2009 colder mixed some high 50's some high 60's and it snowed:eek:
2010 freezing, freezing and some...hard frosts, rides closed due to cold, some days -2..needed coats, hats, gloves and blankets
    2011 best yet...mid 70's to mid 80's

Hope this year is like last year:T

    As for nightime Citywalk..cheaper parking after 7pm I think..we have AP's so don't pay parking :)
DTD is nice...oh and Jellyrolls is fab

BMG is good and they have finally changed the show :T
