Hi VT82, AFAIK you can't get 2-4-1 (or anything like that) for the main theme parks. You're better off checking out a site like Floridatix and buying tickets in advance. Sea World and Busch Gardens do a combined ticket which saves quite a bit, and the Universal and Disney 14 day tickets work out to be pretty good value (compared to the gate prices) if you plan on visiting all of the parks.
For the tours and other attractions you'll probably find loads of deals and vouchers whilst you're there (although I've never done anything like that so not sure if it's better to book in advance or not... plus side of booking in advance is that you can take your time checking reviews etc!), when leaving the airport make sure you pick up as many voucher books as you can and look through them for coupons!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Help!
So my husband, 18 yo daughter and her friend and I are off on 29th Aug for a final pre uni hol to Orlando, doing the Disney/Universal thing but mainly excited for for Harry Potter! Flights booked (good deal w BA), car hired (family sized saloon), Villa booked, still haven't bought tickets. HOWEVER I have stupidly gone and fractured my ankle and I'll still be in plaster when we fly.
I can't imagine I'm going to be brilliant on crutches even by then so does any one have any experience/advice re access to wheelchairs etc? I'd be very grateful for any info re airports/problems with customs/park visits etc.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Wa hoo flights officially booked!
Thanks for the link to FloridaTix. Will probably end up getting the pass for Universal and Busch Gardens (Orlando Flexticket Plus?), and paying for a one off entry with a coupon if we still fancy Disney.
Is there one which would include Kennedy Space Centre too? I thought I saw one but then couldn't find it again!
Also, the site didn't make it very clear about parking. Do all the venues charge for parking, and do all the passes give you free parking?
Thanks!0 -
You have to pay for parking at the parks on top of your tickets, not too sure about the prices (we don't bother with a car) but it's around the $13 mark per park/day. If you're going to Sea World you could get a Lynx bus or the I-Ride for a couple of dollars to save on parking charges, there's also a bus from Sea World to Busch Gardens.
I don't think there are any multi-tickets that include Kennedy Space Center, but I could be wrong.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

You shouldn't have any problems at all with a wheelchair in Orlando, but you need to tell the airline well in advance. My OH has a manual wheelchair but we hired a mobility scooter from Walker Mobility which was great and so much better than a wheelchair. They drop it off at your hotel before you arrive and collect it after you leave.
It is actually an advantage to be in a wheelchair for some of the parks as you miss the long queues, but for others it doesn't make any difference. It is best to go to Guest Services when you enter to park and as for a map for disabled people.0 -
Looking at booking 10 flights from bristol to sandford next oct (2013) and have been quoted £600 each.. .is this reasonable..most airlines dont go as far forward as that so nothing to compare prices with but as we live in bristol there would be a lot of hassle saved not having to travel, parking etc to the possibly cheaper london airports..any ideas please..0

What are 'Ap's'? (excuse my ignorance)
Annual Passes. If you have an annual pass, either for Disney or Universal, you get parking included as part of the package - unless you have a Florida Resident pass which you can get if you have a house there - those tickets are much cheaper so don't include parking.
If you are planning on spending a lot of time at Disney, it is always worth pricing up annual passes as - when parking and other benefits such as discounts on food and shopping are included - it can work out very price efficient. This is particularly the case if you plan on going twice in a year: say one year in weeks one and two, then again almost a year later in weeks 51 and 52: an annual holiday at roughly the same time of year but only one pass required. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
