I can get direct virgin flights in march for £429 for the adults and £370ish for the kids. Has anyone travelled in March before, should I grab it or hold on do prices drop for that time of year. We can go indirect for about £360 each and although I would go indirect I wouldn't for such a relativley small difference, total for virgin 1600 and total for indirect 1420
Any advice would be welcome.
Wait, both BA and Virgin have a sale!?! end of Sept/ Oct for up to March flights. Should be in the £300's of course that was before the recession !Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I would check your tickets again. I have just read the Virgin policy and it quite clearly states one extra 23k bag! and that's from 25 Nov. Present rules are for two pieces of luggage at 23K.
thanks for that have double checked as suggested we can take two bags to checkin weighing 23kg each thats much better with two teenagers that think its going to be a fashion paradeproud mum of son with aspergers0 -

LOL- this reminds me of my mum "Its not a fashion parade" when we went to Orlando when I was about hmm 15.Parents also advised me repeatedly - it wasnt a fashion parade!
I refused to accept it wasnt a fashion parade, and decided to go on the plane on some little cropped top, mini shirt, and platform sandals- my main pair of shoes for the holiday. Shame that by the time we left ringway my feet were full pf blisters- on board, welcome to 10 hours of being totally freezing LOL . Still i smiled/ grimaced through- all long haul flights after that im in joggers/trainers/ thick cosy socks.
Truly, Orlando is NOT a fashion paradeI am a bit wondering what shoes to wear round te parks, was tihnking about getting some fit flops
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Whatever you decide to wear on your feet, make sure it has a decent sole, the last thing you want is blisters on the soles of your feet as I know to my cost on my first visit. Thats why Crocs, Birkenstocks etc are so popular.0 -
Another tip for feet. If you can wear socks it relieves your feet a lot.Trainers and slipper socks seem to be favorite, after all you still want the sun to burn you down to the top of your trainers.
Shorts and tee's are the order of the day even for eating out! And you need the space in your cases---for coming back. One trip to a mall is all it takes. Twice we have brought an extra suitcase out there.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

We found wearing crocs with socks (trainer socks same colour as crocs for the fashion conscious) were the most comfortable thing and we had no blisters or aching feet.
Reminded me of my dad wearing his Jesus sandles with socks!!! But we were comfy.0 -
Oh - and on the subject of what to wear we found we once again took far too many clothes - why do we do that
As we had a washing machine in the villa I had decided we would only take 7 days worth of clothes for 2 weeks (theory being I would wash some and we would probably buy some as well). I must have worn only 50% of the tops / shorts I took as I washed my favourite ones several times.0 -
Re footwear for the parks - I can thoroughly recommend these for the ladies: http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/Department-is-women/ProductType-is-sandals/product-is-20310583
I bought a pair of these in 2006 specifically for walking around the parks on our Florida trip of that year. Initially I was in two minds because they're not the prettiest of things, but I couldn't bear the thought of walking round all day in socks and trainers (especially squelchy trainers after a water ride!) and flip flops make my feet ache after a while, so I bit the bullet and thought to myself so what if they're not fashionable, I'd rather have comfy feet than sore feet, and painted my toenails a nice bright colour.
They have got to be one of the best footwear purchases I've ever made! It was like walking on air. Feet stayed cool and fresh all day and they dried very quickly after getting drenched on the water rides. And no need to take them off for any dangly leg rides! They have been used on every holiday since then, and again when we went to Florida again this year. They've been through the washing machine a few times and still look almost as new!
I've got a pair of fit flops, and they are very comfy but I would choose my Clarks over them every time for the parks. They do come in a couple of other colours, but the light sandy colour is less obvious on the feet, especially with a tan LOL!0
