I am sure they will love disneyworld but not sure if they will be able to handle such a long flight. Your thoughts and experiences please. many thanks x
No problem at all, my daughter went on her first long-haul (to Grenada) at six months and has since then been on long-hauls to Singapore (13 hours), Mexico and USA among others (she's now 3).0 -
We are going to Orlando next May 2 adults 2 children and I notice a lot of people talking about restaurants they have booked prior to going. We are staying on international drive and will have a car so where are the best ones or some suggestions where would be good for us to book before going. The children will be 10 and 6. Thanks.Claire0

Anyone that has used floridatix, did you get aplanet hollywood voucher? If so is it like a gift voucher or a coupon? Considering doing separate orders to get 5 of them, as it's free delivery, but o point if it's 1 vocher per vistit to PH. It says one per party/booking on floridatix but not sure if that for booking with them or PH!
Purplemusky - I think most of the bookings are for disney themed dinners where mickey etc come to your table. Most restaurants on Int drive are casual and don't require booking. Some other 'posh' restaurants, such as on Dr Philips Blvd need bookings.0 -
You've just reminded me, I was supposed to get a PH voucher but it wasn't in the envelope?! I wonder if they've e-mailed it to me instead, will have to check tonight! The one per party/booking does apply to the PH I'm afraid; i.e. one voucher per bill. So unless you're planning on going a few times during your trip, or flog them outside for a couple of dollars, there's probably not a whole lot of point.
Also, there is nothing unique about the voucher; no serial number etc, and could easily be photocopied if you needed more than one.
Birdie, ours arrived with the tickets, although they may email you a voucher to print so worth checking.0 -
I've found it, OH had put it somewhere 'safe'
Good idea about copying it! Not that I'd ever do that....

Arg. Thought we were gonna get a free dinner! Will just do 1 order then, we've not been to PH so don't know if we will even use it.0

We're going because OH really wants to so we'll get use out of the voucher, although looking at the menu $10 is pretty much the price of a starter so looks like it'll still be an expensive outing! We went to planey hollywood, the food was very nie. But beware they added quite a large service charge. We paid it, although have since found it, it is optional. I knwo it forms part of the staf wages, but to be charged over 20 dollars it quite a bit imho.
If its you birthday/anniversary remember to tell the staff, they usually do something special.
Does anyone know if you have birthday while at disney, can you still go to MK and geta free gift voucher??BSC member 137

Been stung with the service charge in PH before, funnily enough everyone I've spoken to about PH has warned me about the charge! We won't be paying it, I hate being told how much to tip. I'm a tight Brit, after all!
I never knew you got a gift voucher on your birthday! Last time I was there it was my birthday the day we went to AK and I got a badge which was cool, everyone made a fuss over meI read that you can get newlyweds badges which I hope is true, even though we plan on wearing the silly bride and groom hats so it'll be fairly obvious already!
