I note also that the hurriance press has started in the UK. I did not want that to put people of coming here to Florida. This year so far has not been a patch on last year. Faye last year took 12 days of rain to clear in August and this year we have just had a couple of afternoons of poor weather from Bill.

The best thing to do is check the tracks and follow them yourselves. Have a look at http://www.eyeonorlando.com/hurricane.asp for more info.

But please do not let it put you off booking a trip here.

Hey guys, I am new to this thread but am an active participant of the Vegas thread as I am going there in November.

Looking for a Florida trip in September of next year and I shall probably need 365 + days to read through all of the oposts and understand the best place to stay.

I do have one quick question though, we will probably use a villa and there will be a combination of 7 adults and 6 kids so where would be the best place to stay. The emphasis of the trip is thrill rides and waterparks.

Hi gang, Im really hoping someone on here can help me.

I am looking for either a package or hotel & flight seperately. Flying from Man on the 1st October.

I have found thr flights with Thomas cook for 375, which is OK, and accomodation on the likeof hotels.com etc are plentiful . I dont really want to spend a lot on accomodaton but many of the budgety options seem to get such shocking reviews on Trip advisor.

We wanted to stay on International drive, and make use of the shuttle, would like to be nearish to Wet & Wild end.

The packages on offer at the moment coming in about 460pp - and this with accom at the 20 quid a night hotels, many of which getting those same shocking reviews.

Taking the flight away from the package cost means that between us we will spend 170 on a budget hotel, whereas these are coming in at 15-25pn from hotel agents

Has anyone got any recommendations for budget hotels on Int drive, its just the two of us and would like to be in semi walking distance to stuff so we can have a drikie or two and not have to drive  We will use the trolley of course

TIP, if not mentioned already- If its your birthday, you can get in free to WDW parks! I will be celebrating my birthday there- so quite a good saving:D

    Hi

I would definitely recommend the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites on IDrive. We are going there again (3rd year in a row) in September. Its right in the middle of IDrive with all the best restaurants right on your doorstep.

We have always found it to be clean and perfectly adequate, just dont expect it to be 5 star or anything!. It has free shuttles to all the parks too, which is very useful.

    Looking for some advice please.

Going to book trip to Orlando November 2010 for 5 adults and 1 child who will be almost 3 by the time we travel. Have been quoted £3,600, for two weeks departing Manchester which includes 3 bedroom villa at Tuscan Hills resort in Davenport and the enhanced car insurance.

Ideally would prefer to book seperately to be able to pick a villa having seen pictures, but can't see me being able to do it cheaper in this instance given how cheap the flights would have to be.

Given a number of you seem to be regular travellers to Orlando would you concur that the price I have been quoted is as good as it seems?

    Thanks

Davenport is too far out . you want to stay near indian ridge etc.
