Yes - we love Chillis :D

Is it the one on the 192 next to Macaroni Grill and Krispy Kreme? If so it's not my favourite - which is the one in Lake Buena Vista - but it is absolutely acceptable for a first night meal :)

It is the one on the 192 as we are staying at 'The villas of Somerset' off the 192.
Just thought not going to get to a supermarket on the way from the airport, so it would be easier to eat out, too much to think about like trying to find villa in dark and driving on the wrong side of the road for the first time:eek:

Any other places you'd recommend for eating out of the parks. We have also got to find somewhere for breakfast the next morning. Any suggestions?

While I'm asking;) where is the nearest and easiest to find supermarket, cheap would be good as well;) think villas are on the Poinciana Blvd off the 192 although I have looked at 3 different maps and they give three different locations (we booked through Virgin- if that helps)
    Many thanks in advance

  • We use a company https://www.caronthedrive.com for our rental car... they pick you up at MCO and transfer you to your villa where your hire car is...on the drive.

Its great means no waiting at the rental desk at the airport, no hard sell and no trouble finding your villa and worrying about tolls etc.

We also use garden grocer for delivery of our groceries direct to the villa...alternatively COTD will stop at Publix whilst you collect some essentials.

Cannot reccomend them enough... we used them last year, this August and am using them for our next trip at christmas.

  • There are several publix on and around the 192... the nearer to Disney property they are they seem to be slightly more expensive on groceries although only marginally.

Cracker Barrel is also good for brekkie or Golden Corral for all you can eat...

    When do you go?

Although we only got back 2 weeks ago I can't wait for xmas to go back..it seems like eons ago since we were there...although I believe the love bugs are out in force right now :(

It looks like we're going to fly out on holiday a couple of days early so are looking for somewhere to stay. We've been offered the Radisson Celebration. I think bm has stayed there before so was looking for feedback from anyone who's been there.

Chilis is v tastey for tex mex type stuff.

The black angus steakhouse is great for steaks and burgers, they do an early bird menu which is reasonable. We normally go twice when we visit!

Longhorn steakhouse is also good for steak.

Crackerbarrel for breakfast, 'home style' cooking, there is one at old town not sure if that's near you. Eggs bacon and pancakes :) The syrup is really great we brought a few wee bottles back. Also good for southern style dinners. we normally stop at one for breakfast abt halfway to busch gardens in a caravan park.

or ponderosa is good for loads of food, all you can eat buffet breakfast.

the food courts in malls are good as everyone can have something different and still eat together. We normally go straight to mall from airport and have tea there.

Panera bread is good for a nice filling lunch or sweet tomatoes which is a salad restaurant, a good respite after lots of burgers and meat!

Angels seafood buffet early bird for lobster and a huge selection of other stuff. lobster nice
  • We stayed at Villas at Somerset last year and loved it. Staff at the clubhouse lovely. Say hello to Teresa. We tended to eat on 192 as choice was great. We love Ponderosa for breakfast. There is one oppisite Old Town on 192. Cicis Pizze is great for dinner and Golden Corral at anytime. Have a great time.

Apologies if this has been asked before.

We have booked our holiday with virgin and paid the deposit, can you use converted clubcard vouchers to pay the balance ?

    Thanks in advance :)
