Just browsing and Seaworld preferred partners have 3 nights accomodation for the price of 2. Not checked prices but the link is here: http://commerce.4adventure.com/EStore/Scripts/Skins/SWF/HotelPackages.aspx?__utma=1.703363816.1283895933.1283895933.1283895933.1&__utmb=1.55.10.1283895933&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1283895933.1.1.utmcsr=google|utmccn=%28organic%29|utmcmd=organic|utmctr=seaworld&__utmv=-&__utmk=365656640

WORD OF WARNING!
If using Disney Accomodation with Ticket and Free Dining as part of your fly drive, Disney accomodation with freebies HAS to be your first weeks stay if you want to get full use of the Disney Ultimate ticket.
I was not told this and now we cannot use our 21 day tickets before 7th Nov - so they'll get 7 days use and be useless. What is more, because the free dining can only be taken when you buy the 'tickets', the tickets are 'on' your room key so they cannot be sold afterwards either.
So now we have no tickets while we are at Kidani Village.
To say I am fuming is an understatement as the woman I spoke to when I booked never told us any of this and I made her well aware of my travel plans when I called to book so I want to warn everyone else what happens and to check, check, check you have the tickets for the correct date. We would have been fine if we had decided to go to OKW on Week 1 or 2 but I cannot move it.
I asked Disney if they would change my check in date and they said yes but I would lose my Free Dining (as the offer is no longer on and it is a new booking) and would have to pay more for the tickets.
Still looking at all other options as it has to be paid for on Sunday. If anyone has ANY ideas to throw at me then please let me know as I I am at a loss as to what to do. We could go to a ticket booth on the 192 by Levis on the way to Disney and we could get some there - what sort of price would we be looking at, does anyone know?
It seems the only option now is to buy more park tickets, which will cost around £1000 for just a week. I need waterpark tickets for 30th Oct. I have tickets for Not So Scary Halloween Party for 31st Oct. Ticket to Disney is valid from 7th - so need tickets from 1st til 6th Nov.
I have literally been on the phone all morning trying to sort this out. They would not even pass me to a supervisor to sort something else out.
The other option is to stay elsewhere for week 3 but then we would not get EMH to do what I have planned. Thing is, is it worth an extra £1000......??
It's been a long morning.
ANY advice would be appreciated before I pay more money out. Thanks.0 -
Update: Disney did not call me back as promised. I've been waiting the hour now.
I have been over to The Dibb today and they think I can take my confirmation and get 'hard tickets' for the date that I want and that others have done this.
So, fingers crossed. If that does not work I am going to get a MYW 3/4 day ticket from Disney and add the hopper and waterpark option. There are a couple of parks we want to go to that week so that would be the best way.0 -
blue_monkey wrote: »We check into AKV that day so it would be too much of a pain to be honest, we intended that for a 'rest day', have booked the Halloween party for that night. Ouch - extra $$$. But it'll be a lovely experience and we have booked the Xmas party - double Ouch $$$ - but also have Tea booked at the crysal Palace the same day so it should be nice.
Am very excited that they finally have a date for the Osbourne Familiy lights on the site - it's 8th November so I'll be able to see them a couple of times before we leave. Yippee. I have a diary. Yes, a holiday diary, that I am already filling in with the Extra Magic Hours, booked meals and plans for each day. It feels a tad sad but also feels good to be organised enough to know what we will be doing what day. Talk about wishing the time away!!
Also found out that we will get our Disney documents 2 weeks before our arrival date..... when we will be in the US. So not sure what will happen with that, my job for tomorrow. Got to book cabs as well now. Can't believe it is just 46 days until we go.
You've really gone at the best time of year! Hallowe'en and the Xmas decs, Osborne Lights etc. Lucky you
Have you done them before?0 -

Oh no, that is so bad. Fingers crossed it will work out OK, but I would have suggested the Dibb as the best place to start. That is so naughty of Disney.0 -
Hi, could you not add one extra day onto your Disney package at the start of your hols just to get your tickets. Just a idea..0

Hi all, thanks for listening to me whinge. It has been a very long and stressful day.
I have actually managed to get through to Disney CR - I have been on the phone to them today for over 3 hours at various times - at 0870 number - it had better be free on BT!!
After a long conversation - which ended in me admitting defeat and accepting that I would have to buy new tickets and pay the £1000 - CR asked me what I wanted and I said 'I don't know, to collect them from Kidani when we check in?'. So CR said she will ask Kindani if they were happy for us to do that. I called DVC and got my reservation number, GR are calling me back tomorrow (or I shall be calling them!!) for the RN and *hopefully* Kidani will say yes and we can get our tickets on 31st. Sounds easy but took 45 minutes of conversation to get to that point. I had by them admitted defeat and accepted we would buy the tickets.
IF they say no we are going to remove the dining plan from our 'package' and this leaves us with an accomodation booking and a ticket booking and we can collect the tickets any time, not just on the day we check in.
I have told Disney that I called to make a reservation for accomodation and tickets but was offered free dining. I asked if we could use our tickets at Kidani and was told yes, would not be a problem and so booked it all - I said the whole holiday had been booked around us going to Kidani. In the past we have been issued a voucher to collect tickets from the booth so we assumed the same thing would happen. Apparently not. I said that if the lady had said that we could not use tickets until 7th we would have booked a week at OKW for week 1 and got our tickets from then.
I've learned a lot today. I learned you can get the tickets removed from your card and exchanged for 'hard' tickets. we did think we would buy more Ultimate 21's then get the hard tickets from the card and flog those on eBay.
However, to remove the dining plan and put it back on will be £453 - or we could just not bother and pay as we go each day.
But I am really cross as I feel I've been misold and did not get what I had requested at time of booking. Apparently it is my fault for not checking the booking confirmation but as I pointed out, I called and asked for accomodation, I called and asked for tickets, I was offered free dining as I was buying the 2. Nowhere on the confirmation does it state I have bought a package yet they have it down that I have bought a package and this is what the hoo-har is all over.
However, I am not risking losing the reservations and there are things we want to do so we have to stay in Disney to get the EMH to do them.
I am absolutely exhausted now. Hubby said to sue Disney for the extra money it will cost us because we called them and asked for something specific but was sold something else that was of no use. What is more the confirmation did not state that we were buying something else as the items we asked for were on the confirmation and listed seperately, it did not state that they were park of a package. Today I am out of fight though and I have had enough. It is very draining. Its all a bit of a mess and I need a nice relaxing hot bath.0 -

You would think this wouldn't you.... however, they told me that if I changed the date of the holiday now, because the offer of free dining had ended, not only would I lose the Free Dining Plan I would also have to pay more for the 21 day ultimate tickets as the price had gone up. And I might also have to pay more for the accomodation.
If I booked extra accomodation it would not matter because the tickets/dining plan/accomodation is a 'package' and any changes to that package results in a new booking and I could not use the ticket on that accomodation as it was not part of the package I booked to get the free dining.
Where if the confused smiley when you need him???? Did you follow that??0 -

Never Halloween, no, but DLP at Xmas lots of times (although I know it is not the same thing, it fixed a Disney hole in my heart, LOL) and I have seen the Osbourne family lights in 2000. I was in awe. It is magical, I love being in that Disney bubble. We also had a few days of Xmas when we got there and saw New Year in at Epcot. So much nicer than here in the UK as there were no drunk lairy, aggresive people round. Just loads of families having a good time. In the loft I've still got the glittery hats they were giving outI might even have a *forever cup* up in the loft womewhere, I might just get it out and see. Am I cheap enough to take my forever cup?
We have paid around $450 for the 2 extra parties. We have been to the Princess and Pirate Party in 2007 and loved it so much. Just loved how everyone was dressed up and made the children feel special. My DD was dressed as a priness and all the cast members bowed or curtsied her and said 'good evening princess' it was brilliant. Plus all of the goodies we got in our little bag of course. This time we are taking a carrier bag t empty the sweets into and will get more that way. Greedy us!!

First, the bad bit - what an appalling day you've had. When you plan so hard for your holiday it's awful to lose the control of it... not to mention the financial loss and inconvenience too
I am so sorry

Oh, us too!! We went in August 2007 and had the best time. Loved the fireworks, and especially loved the Pirate Party area in Tomorrowland. Just thinking about that party makes me smile - it was absolute magic :T
