Can someone remind me what happens about towels at the waterparks, do they loan them for free or do you have to pay? Aquatica, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Also pools at Disneys AKV and OKW. Thanks.

    Hi Blue,

At AKV and OKW they have big stacks of fresh towels by the pools and you just put them in the towel bins when you're finished. There's no charge.

Its a while since I've been to a water park, with my skin problem I don't go anymore, but I think its the same at TL & BB too. Haven't beeen to Aquatica.

You have to pay to hire towels at BB & TL - can't remember the cost, but it's not a lot - BUT the towels are those small white ones, not the most user friendly unless you are very slim.

As far as I can remember it's been like that for many years.

Thanks Karen, I thought this was probably the case. Even $2.50 a time would soon mount up as being $10 a time each time we went to the water parks (3 trips planned, that would be $30 on towel rental). We are taking a spare bag to bring goodies home so I'll take bath towels with me to use at waterparks then and leave them there if the bag gets too heavy.

    Hi
BB and TL are $2 per person per day. We took resort towels from our Disney Hotel as they are the same towels as those used in the water park. Alternatively you could get a microfibre sports towel for about £2 in Home Bargains and pack that.

Have you looked at flying in and out of ATL and hiring your car there? You can drive it in a day easily. I actually drove from Chattanooga to Orlando in a day.

No, do you think it would be cheaper? we would like to fly from Manchester really. I will check it out though, thanks.

    Hello
We are off to Orlando next month on a fly drive. I have never driven in the US so a bit apprehensive about driving.

    Hi

Take a Sav Nav and with an automatic car it is drive forward and stop at traffic lights ;)

Dont panic it is really easy :D
  • I'm looking for a little help with finding a villa for next yr, I am all villa'ed out, looked at 100's of places all resorts in orlando and like the emerald Island area and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a 3-4 bed villa with a games room and pool and in a gated community,
Origionally was looking at 3 bed and had a budget of £1300 ish but now my in-laws are coming for part of the time so need a 4 bed, this tends to push up the cost, Im going in August for 3 weeks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or go to the pool at OKW and grab a few towels and take them with you. They aren't big beach towels as Karen says, but towels are a waste of luggage. Sorry for wrong comment on waterparks, its a long time since I've been.
