Thanks... still wondering about walmart though as we have been told that this can be the best bet, but I can't seem to find anyone else raving about it.. perhaps that should tell me something:rotfl:

I'd never heard that about Walmart, must have slipped under my radar. If you find anything out, be sure to post here. Love a bargain

. The only difference is with the flex plus you also get wet&wild. By most reviews it is not that great a park. Def not worth the extra £34.

I'd completely disagree. Wet'n'wild is definately worth the £34 (esp for unlimited visits) in my opinion

It may not be the prettiest water park, compared to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach it is a concrete jungle, but the rides are much better than the Disney ones. Far more thrills, and much more excitment.

Only need Universal to open one and wet'n'wild might not be my favourite anymore :D

I have booked the combo tickets for our trip next March.

I spoke to a woman at ATD
    http://www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk/orlando-florida.htm

The combo tickets are cheaper. It depends what parks you want to do but a 5 park Combo ticket is £175 per adult for 2011.
This covers Universal,IOA,Seaworld,Aquatica and Busch gardens. Also includes free transfer to Busch if you need it.

Where as the Flex ticket plus (you would need that to get the free Busch transfer) £209 per adult for 2011. The only difference is with the flex plus you also get wet&wild. By most reviews it is not that great a park. Def not worth the extra £34.

The combo tickets come as two separate tickets. One for Universal,IOA and one for Seaworld, Aquatica and Busch.

But they work just the same.

These can also be bought seperately for Universal 2 park for 14 days £89 and Bush/Seaworld/Aquatica for £77 making it £166 for both;)
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • miami airport is roughly 240 miles i did it a few times in march and can say it takes minimum of 3 hours with no traffic.
best bet for transport would be to hire a car then drop it off in orlando i would think.

for a party that size then i would be looking at a villa,i have booked a 2 bed sleeps 6 villa for next september for £650 for 2 weeks.

best bet is have a look on www.thedibb.co.uk loads of info on there about villas etc.
Thank sooo much for that link as I wouldn't have had the first idea where to look, but now I've found and booked a beautiful villa, 6 beds, very cheap :)

    Hi

My partner and I are staying at the Buena Vista Palace in Novemeber for two weeks we do not have a car. Has anyone stayed there before, any useful tips.

From my research I know you get free transport to disney but not to universal parks.

It seems Mears transport to Universal is the best option at $18 round trip.

And same from airport to hotel using Mears. On the hotel website it says you can get your ticket to the hotel from the airport when you arrive but other sites have said book 24 hours in advance. Any advise?

    Hi

As mentioned in a ealier post my partner and I are staying at the Buena Vista Palace, can anyone advise me on how to get to Bush Gardens from there. I know if you buy the ticket it includes transport but there is no pick up near the hotel from what I can gather and the closest is Universal or Sea World but pick up is 8.30am. Did anyone else stay at this hotel and go to Bush Gardens what is the best way to do it?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi all,

1st trip to orlando in 2 weeks, have a question re changing currency - a lot of the sites recomended on MSE require bank transfer. I'm slightly uncomfortable with this...is this the besy way to change money over in the expert opinion of my fellow mser's?

    TIA

Depends if you have a car I am guessing you don't.

The easiest way is to get the ticket which includes transfer, then get either a taxi to Seaworld for the pickup or get a Lynx bus.

There are a list of Lynx routes on here.

    http://www.golynx.com/?fuse=cstm&app=route

You can download the whole lynxs coverage on the top right of that page. its 9.5mb
But might be worth a look if you plan on using the bus.

Hi all, hoping for a bit of advice.

After many months dreaming and planning, am hoping to finally book our first (and probably only) holiday to WDW for myself and 2 DDs aged 9 & 6.

Looking at travelling 11th May for 2 weeks, from Manchester with Virgin and plan to stay at POR c/w free dining package. I am happy to book the flights separately as this seems the cheapest way for those dates.

At the mo, Complete Orlando are coming out cheapest for hotel & 14 night ultimate tickets (incl free dining package), at £2090 for the three of us. I can book direct with WDW online for £2206, but could poss get quidco cashback on this deal.

Would like opinions on whether its worth the £50 - £116 saving to book with Complete Orlando (only £50 saving if can get quidco cashback). Just a bit worried about booking via an agent instead of direct, and what happens if agent goes under.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Many thanks

How did you book your flights ? Can#'t do it online yet, as the return flights in August are not yet available, did you phone them? We are looking to book asap, we have already got a villa on hold, but need to book the flights!

I booked with Kenwood Travel in London, a friend booked her hols last year and she rec them.
We checked them out and they have been in business for 25 years and have abta and atol.

\sorry to be thick, but the cost of the flydrive, does that include car or is that added on after flight details? website price only mentions flights, not car?

I looked at booking flights and car separate but this was the best way for me, I have an Intermidiate car....will prob need it with the shopping we will do :-)
with full insurance for 2 drivers.
Just specify what you want, I would ask for just a flight price and then a flydrive price, they at least you can see the difference.
