    Hi all

not been to Orlando for 6 years but looking to go back this Sept/ Oct - does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel around International Drive that has a kitchen area? Looking for an actual oven/ hob so we can keep the cost down. Looking to do this as cheap as poss but somewhere decent and clean!

    Many thanks

hi we are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and we always stay at bahama bay resort in orlando, near davenport, this is a 2 bedroom apartment within a complex, found this to be cheaper than a villa, has kitchen with oven hob and dishwasher also washing machine and tumble dryer..which is great , have been 3 times and stayed here, really lovely place, hope this helps
  • I've just joined what looks an excellent site as i am hoping to visit Florida with my girlfiend in Sept/October this year. I was wondering if anyone knows of the best websites for prices for the disney hotels. Its my girlfriends first time in Florida so i want to make the trip extra special for her and especially get use of the extra magic hours that come with staying in a Disney hotel

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi there, thanks - there are only 2 of us going so I don' think a villa would work out price wise - although if I could find one cheap enough it would be great!

having thought more about it even with 2 of you it could still work out cheaper in a villa/condo.

i have booked to go here next september

not got the full details to hand but i think it was £650 for 14 nights for mid september 2011,so i think it will work out chepaer than hotel so long as you can find some decent flight prices.

Hi rpeers, have a look at the disney website and book direct with them for the accomodation. This will also get you the Disney Magical Express for free - but you do have to book this on the website at least 48 hours before you need it.

They are selling off apartment weeks in their Deluxe Villas resorts at special offer prices at the moment. We are going to Disneys Old Key West, 2 ad, 2 ch, 1 bed apartment for under £1000 a week with free dining which they will have when you go in Sept/Oct. I would avoid half term from 24th October as the cost of flights will increase dramatically.

Link to the Special Offers page on disney website: http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp

Alternatively, just search for accomodation and look for the option of DELUXE VILLA RESORTS. They are cheaper than a Disney Hotel and the standard will be amazing. You will have a studio or apartment rather than a room so bear this in mind when scrolling through the price option.

    Have fun.

We tried to but the prices crept up from £500 to £640 each at when we decided that we was not waiting to book any longer - a few months on they are now priced at £2k each as they are sold out on economy. Its the chance to take to be fair. Had we waited we would not be going.

Again, try the Disney deluxe villas on the link we posted. A studio with free dining (one counter, one table meal and one snack pp per day) was around £700 when we looked for Oct/Nov. They have a partial kitchen - someone will confirm this for you as they stay there.

    Thanks for the info all!

Am leaning towards the Homewood Suites @ International Drive - not planning on doing Disney this time and all the villas are centered around there so it looks like thats out (don't want to be driving all the time).

Now just need to find reasonable flights.....!
