were going next April ( last two weeks) were paying £610 ... Mil is going two weeks before us they are paying nearly £800 each .... When I spoke to virgin I was told as availabilty goes down the price goes up ... Not sure if that helps any though .... Last time I went I paid less than £250 each .... But that was years and years ago0 -

I know every day will be magical but has anyone got any ideas to makes it a little bit extra special on that day. Any ideas no matter how small like something unusual to do, a specific theme park, special place to eat out, show etc.
Make sure you get a birthday badge from each park you go to ask at customer services and all the cast members will make a big fuss of them.0 -

agreed we did this for my daughter in march, technically not her birthday but she was 2 a week after returning so close enough for me.during parades etc the cast members do pay more attention if they are wearing birthday badges.
at MK a lady with a small cart stall in the square just before main street USA had all kinds of badges so you do not even need to go out of your way to get one.0 -
If your daughters are 11 are they too old to go to Cinderella's Table in the Castle for a meal? YOU MUST BOOK IT ONLINE at least 6 months in advance to get the day and time you want. My friend could not get into Chef Mickeys, we have booked now to go in November and there was just a few spaces left on my DD birthday.
If you have a dining plan you can give up 2 dining plan meals for a meal in Cinderellas' Castle.
A good tip is to book the meal for the evening otherwise you'll be sluggish and tired for wandering around for the rest of the day, plus you will not feel up to going on the rides with a full belly of food.
There is also a tea party each afternoon at The Crystal Palace so that might be nice too if you want something lighter. Again you MUST book.
In fact, I'd say to book all of the buffets you are going to be having, you do that on the Disney website, choose 'places to eat' and book them there.0 -
Had to book the dog into the kennel today for 3 weeks because Nanny is ill and do not want the dog jumping all over her if it is not sorted by then. It is not a kennel of the usual sort, the dogs have free roaming access and the lady has them in the kitchen with her from 7am until 9pm and play and sleep together rather than being locked in a cage. However, it feels a bit weird to have booked her into the kennel for such a long time.0

Just another question about Visas please.
Can anyone tell me when I need to do them and what I need to do. Do I need our passport numbers to add to the ESTA - also how do I do that please. I have got to send off for everyone but my own passport.
On the virgin website it asks me to add my intention of the trip to the US, should I put 'stay in USA' as I thought that they might think we are staying - or am I just being stupid?0 -

As far as I know you can do the ESTA anytime. It lasts for 2 years and if you keep a not of the number you can just change details if you go back within two years.
the web site is:
https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov
Everyone in the party needs there own ESTA done before you fly.
I think the Virgin question for your intention of the trip would be holiday, putting "stay in the USA" might make someone think you want to live there.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -

When we went with a large party [16] in 2007 I did all the ESTA's for all, you soon get in the swing of it.
Name, address, passport number, when it runs out. It is all very self explanatory.

Off to Orlando on the 9th August with the kids , I've been shopping around for flexticket plus and the cheapest I've found is £186 per head.
Just wondered if anyone knows of any cheaper please ?
