You have no RIGHT OF ENTRY the US Office of Homeland Security (any branch) can deny ANYONE WITHOUT REASON - Thats what makes me laygh when I come back here from my hols in UK and see Brits arguing with immigration officials, well that's going to help!

ESTA guarantees NOTHING, the last say is the immigration official at your point of entry so BE NICE!

So true, as we found out last year. We had our ESTA accepted and virgin took all our passport details including the fact that my DD and DH shared a passport ( normal for italians)
Morning of travel - no you cant fly as the passport needs a special stamp (because you are travelling to the US on a shared passport.)
Wasnt picked up by anyone before the big day :(
My mistake at the end of the day but we are off again this friday and this time everything is in order (i hope)

Serenaly - You should be able to use any debit card as long as the vender accepts that card (Visa, Mastercard etc). But I would suggest that you contact the Abbey and let them know that you are going to be here.

A lot of card companies will, if they see unusual international charges, "shut" your card just in case it has been cloned/compromisedf and is being used internationally by the theives. Often I will have patients pay and this happens, just let them know your travel dates (add a couple of days just in case you get delayed).

OMG! Did you actually get on holiday to USA last year after all? Did you lose all of your money or did Virgin accept some responsibility - apart from the money this must be a huge disappointment for anyone (especially if you have children also).

Have a great holiday this time and hope all goes well.

yes it will work, but let them know before you leave or they will block it they only thing that doesn't work properly is maestro as a debit card. All cards work in the ATMs and as long as it has a cirrus or plus logo on the atm, (depending on whats on the back of your card, think its cirrus.

first time visitor to orlando in June. a quick question, do they check photo id on your 1st day at disney as it says on tickets (14 day unlimited pass)? if what do you take for photo id, not keen on taking 8 passports!

TUMMY - Driving license ok - they want Pic and they may finger print you (computer scan - not the nasty ink stuff) that will make sure it is you that uses the tickets.

Hi, i've been reading through this thread, but cant find the info ive been looking for. Sorry if its already been said.

Basically myself and four friends are looking to go to disney world for around two weeks. What would be the best/cheapest price to pay pp and what would be the cheapest time to go? We're all pretty flexible, but dont want to go past November..thanks!

not sure on exact costs for any given month but i payed £2100 for 7 nights in international drive orlando and 7 in miami (although ended up staying 2nd week in orlando but thats another story) last month for 2 adults and 1 child.booked through virgin.i can recommend the quality inn international drive for location with easy access to all sites/attractions orlando has to offer and the hotel is clean and comfortable.
talking to some regulars while there and october is supposed to be a good time to go.
no need to book with virgin but use their site to get an idea of costs etc.
