Thanks very much for the reply, much appreciated!.... Just a couple of extra questions if you don't mind....Is there anything much to do within walking distance? Did you use the on-site shuttle bus? Is there pressure to attend the timeshare presentation? Thanks again

There is a chemist and publix supermarket within walking distance, other than that not much to do within walking distance.

Didnt see the on-site shuttle bus we were up and out early most days.

No pressure at all about timeshare - to be honest didnt really know it was one apart from a leaflet in the apartment saying you could buy an apartment. Never see anyone asking us about timeshare. Just had a fab holiday and would go back no questions asked. Best place we stayed in and that was our fourth time. Stayed in a villa but I prefer Floridays as it is closer than villas. Really good location and easy to find.

By no means a cheap option (almost $300 each), but a Dolphin Swim at Discovery Cove would be a LOVELY prezzie if the budget allows!

You can also book DC on Expedia and get 12.5% cashback too!! :)

Don't get put off staying in a timeshare resort. There is no high pressure selling and you would not know whether someone is an owner unless you asked them. You might see the odd leaflet or offer but there will not be someone on every corner asking you.

With OKW we booked an paid for via the WDW website as the offer was amazing and not worth giving our 'week' up for. We decided we will go again next year and do Boardwalk Villas and Wilderness Lodge.

We only paid £994 for a 1 bed apartment in OKW and that includes the Full Dining Plan and Magical Express so we just booked on their site. BWV will never be that cheap so this is why we saved our 'week'. I remember that you said the BWV were hard to get but they are up for exchange on RCI at the moment for the summer.

That's a fantastic deal. I'm not sure if you've stayed at OKW before, but if you want to use the pools etc and have transport, then its worth asking to stay on Turtle Pond Road, near the pool. OKW home members often ask for accommodation close to Hospitality House (we always do and book early to get it). Given that you may not have a choice of that (its normally all been booked by members), Turtle Pond is probably the best choice in terms of area, as it not only has its own bus stop nearby, but it is quite self contained, with its own tennis courts, swimming pool, children's play area and snack bar. The area by South Depot pool is also nice, but I don't like the proximity of the river to the swimming pool with small kids, you need to be more vigilant than you do at Turtle Pond. Have a lovely stay, wherever you end up. The one beds at OKW are massive.

Thanks V, because of DS we are hoping to be near HH but she told me to call back with 10 days to go. I debated between HH and TP to be honest, I just want to be near a stop in case he is deciding that he is not walking. More so when he is tired.

No, we've not done OKW before. We looked at it on Google Maps and it is HUGE. Scary huge. We will not be driving so want to be sure that if we run out of milk we do not have a 10 mile trek to get it!!

    How about a Segway Tour....

    http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/epcot/epws-segway.htm

If you book an early tour you go round Epcot World Showcase before it opens and can watch the CM's preparing for the day.

I've done this and it's fantastic, but I believe the minimum age is 16. Sorry.

Hi. I have been to Orlando 7 times and am off again in April. Had no car last time and found it very easy to get around on iride. Only $16 for 2wk pass and kids under 12 free! Disney was more difficult though and u have to take 2 buses. Quite far from idrive so taxi would probably cost a bit. Is possible though. Shopping malls,Seaworld and Universal all easy to get to and iride very frequent and clean.

Thanks, looked on the dibb and found some info. We stayed at i drive last easter but never got to disneyworld due to problems on our trip. We used the i ride mostly. There were a few shuttles that offered a round trip to disney for $8 pp which sounds like a good deal. We never looked into the lynx buses that time but this year we are going to all the disney parks so are looking at all the options.
    Thanks for the replies.
