Cheesed OFF BIG Time.

Been to the one in Derby. Got many on shelves only to be told it's an internet offer only. Others were turned away as well.
Surely this can be a case for Trading Standards ?Any Advise welcome!!
Why can others purchase from stores ?
really hacked off !!
It isn't just an online offer but you do need to have a "voucher" which is printed in the instore leaflet...the code for it is 904351. Failing that check one of the tabloid newspapers for the voucher.0 -

So what adaptor do I need? Some one mentioned a Belkin USB wireless thingy.....would that do? Any bargain for this device?
Thanks in Advance,
Tab
Probably this Belkin 802.11G USB Adaptor Cat no. 676/6647 £24.99 was £39.99.0 -

...or probably a pc card adapter...which I think will protude less out of your laptop. An example, Netgears WG511 .

The above is just an example, not a recommendation. There are many other 802.11g / 54mpbs cards available at various retailers at various prices0 -

Thanks for the reply. I've just had a look and there is one prob. The USB on my laptop is...still....USB 1.1.
So what other adaptor should I get? my network used to be like this:
Modem-to-Desktop(with two ethernet cards)-to-Hub(buggered)-to-laptops(built-in ethernet).
Now:
Modem-to-Desktop-to-oneLaptop.
Sorry to be so stupid.0 -

Well Chuffed
Thanks Kilo and Mooncalf.
Went into Nottingham branc which had quite a few. Went to the Service desk and asked the man check the price telling him it's on offer. He said that it was and you need the voucher which he kindly gave.
Went to the till, the assistant asked for about £90 pounds so I showed the Voucher and she told me its not the same. After a few very strong polite words she agreed it was and gave it for the offer price.
Now back home, taken a few paracetamols informed my friends on this wicked site and OFF to bed.
Thanks all for your advice.
Haribol !!!

I didn't know anything about voucher numbers, I just said to the sales assistant that its in the sale and he pulled up a list from under the till which he checked then changed the price to the reduced price.
They weren't on the shelf with the other similar products but stacked in a pile with a ticket giving the reduced price.0 -
Well, we all know that PCWorld checkout staff (and most of the sales staff) aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer! I'm sure they can probably microwave a mean Whopper though!
It was painfully slow getting through the tills this morning, even though they were handing out the discount leaflets and had them at the tills as well.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Just got mine from PC World Solihull
Thanks0
