Starts Boxing Day 11am-5pm.  Shame they haven't reduced the graphics cards by much - they've got huge piles of FX5200s and FX5700LEs which I thought they had ramped up ready for a 50% off deal, but doesn't appear to be in the online sale.
ADDITIONAL: Looking at the site most of these offers expire on 27th i.e. Monday. If that's the case then their January Sale isn't even going to make it out of December. That's hard to believe, so I assume they've got a whole load of other bargains to release on 28th - so keep 'em peeled!

Have used this model of Router for the past 3 months, have two PC's  connected to it and (touch wood) is excellent, was recommended to me by two other MSE members and I would recommend it, I paid £99 for this from DABS in September so its a good price.

    Merry Christmas Everyone

I use this router never let me down, even with latest firmware. Wireless works fine got a usb wireless Belkin pen drive (from Argos) for kids Dell pc in there bedroom. Also have 3 pcs connected through cable. Don't rely on the firewall though you also need a software one.

  • Hi Guys Merry Xmas

This is my first post and I'm looking for a bit of advice about this router. I have the wired version of this and its an excellent product. I'm thinking of going wireless was wondering about the range, I currently have an airport extreme network which is awesome. However, I recently decided to buy a belkin wireless card for my G4 thinking it would be cheaper than an apple product, however its performance was appaling with the machine having to
sit beside the base station, I could just have run a cable instead.

The mac cards have a fantasic range and I can access the net from anywhere in my flat, so can anyone recommend this wireless router I would like to keep it seperate from my airport base station (in another room) but I'm worried about spending cash on something which is going to turn out to be useless.

(maybe this should be on the tech board if so apologies!)

I have the Netgear DG834G running with a Netgear WG511T card in my laptop.

It is also connected to my PC via a normal netwrok cable.

The wireless router is in the loft and I use the laptop on the ground floor. I don't know the distance but compared to a flat it must be longer.

    It works asolutely fine.

    I get, on average 40Mbs

    I would definitely recommed.

The web interface is also easy to use.

I have upgraded the firmware on it twice so far with no problems - it is done via the web based control panel
    ;D
