I would have thought you could boot up a linux operating system CD or usb then use a password cracking program that breaks easy admin passwords? Of course you may still ned to change access the bios control panel to allow it to boot that way.0

Win2K was cack anyway. I've installed XP Pro on my thinkpad (OH uses it for surfing, as it's too slow for anything meaningful :rolleyes: ). Actually runs quite well.
Have we decided if this is a Win password or BIOS pass yet?
I vaguely remember there being a workaround for this. Something along these lines if anyone remembers? Required booting into safe mode IIRC.0 -
May sound stupid but did you try just pressing enter and not entering a password - ie the password is blank. My GF spent half an hour trying to figure out my password before I told her it was blank.0

I think the bios pw prompt is a totally black screen with just a " > " showing or something, it appears instantly, while the Win Admin pw takes a minute or 2 to appear.0
