I'm not entirely certain it is a windows password. The administrator could refer to the BIOS password, which if set at the highest level should not be un-settable (that would render the entire BIOS password idea useless)
As I've asked before, do you see the blue background with the graphic windows logon box, or is it a black screen with white writing?Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0 -

You can try resetting password http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm or buy a Win2000 or XP cd on web cheaply. LOOT ,EBAY, PRELOVED.COM etc. To boot from CD, power off, then on. Whilst pc boots, press PF12 key. You hopefully will be prompted with a bootlist menu, take option to boot from CD/DVD0

i just did that, but it just loaded windows 2000 professional screen then turned green "log on to windows" Enter Administrator Password0 -
Just a thought, silly question I know but have you contacted the seller to see if they have the password?
Are you sure you're booting from the CD and not the hard drive again? Pressing F12 should give you the option to boot from CD. Do you know how to get into the BIOS and set the boot order?0 -

Your booting from the HDD not the CD, as suggested you need to change the boot sequence. Unless of course the CD or CD drive is no good.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
