    arrggghhh

I feel this way too. I've either just Ov'd or am about to and am already wanting AF to come (as it inevitably will) so I can arrange my HSG. :o

    Where is everyone today?

Been for FS appt & u/s scan.

Positive news in that there are 3 follicles & 2 are big enough - 18mm & 20mm (the third is 14mm). Last month there was one & not so big. FS is really pleased with this.

Going for trigger injection in the morning so ov will be on Monday night.

Not so good news is that OH & I are both meant to be away with work in different parts of the country! We have yet to work out where we will BD! One of us is going to have to do a 4 hr round trip.

He said that the bloods from last cycle show oestrogen at 1600 (I think it was the oestrogen level). He said it needs to be above 1000 to ov & would expect it to be 7000 with someone on IVF due to the drugs. He was happy with this result. No bloods done this month.

He said that due to the improvement, he would say to try again with Clomid although maybe on 100mg.

We discussed IUI. He said it would be about £1000 & BMI needs to be below 35. Currently it's about 37 so it's doable. I need to focus on this.

Hope my Clomid buddies have good follicles this month & we are all successful this month - I wish this for everyone else too.

On Thursday aunt flow came to visit. Is that what AF stands for? On the same morning I got a message from a friend saying she was pregnant again. And I thought I wasn't going to cry this month.

I've been thinking about going to the doctors again to ask for another CD21 test. I've only had one so far. I'm guessing that when I have the first FS meeting the Dr will ask for another test so I might as well see if I can speed up the process. What do you think?

Quite a few of you seem to see a private FS. At what point did you decide to go private and do you have health insurance? I don't have health insurance so don't know how it works with fertility issues.

I went to see FS after about 8 months. As I was over 40 I wasn't entitled to a NHS appt. GP arranged initial blood & SA tests though.

Health insurance doesn't cover (OH has cover through work). I am in Benenden though & they paid for laparoscopy. Would recommend Benenden to anyone - low cost.

If you meet NHS criteria, go with it. Private treatment quickly adds up. That said, if time isn't on your side (as with me) then go for it.

Thanks TTC. Was the 8 months after you started TTC or after you first went to the doctors?

I'm 35 this year and I'm concerned about when I'll stop being entitled to NHS support.

We started TTC about sept. Saw GP end Dec. Tests took until about March. Saw FS in April - think this is timeline.

Peonie , how long have you been TTC?

Peonie - I googled to find out the 'rules' for my NHS trust before I went to the GP. Therefore when I went into the appt I was better informed than the GP.

I only had one day 21 test which was at the beginning of last year. The FS didn't do another one - maybe because it was OK.

Getting pg this month would be really bad timing as we go on an active holiday next month with friends - let's hope that's the jinx I need!

When we were waiting for our appt yesterday, we had to wait as a family had dropped by to show their baby/ thank the FS. Hope that I caught their baby dust.

Reading this back, I'm coming across as crazy! Must remind myself that the thing that gets me pg is if the sperm & egg actually meet.

Off to FS to do my trigger injection. Happy Sunday everyone.

    good luck ttc40.
Peonie, as far as I know different NHS trusts have different criteria. I went to my GP as I didn't bleed for ages after having implant removed and she referred us to FS quickly as here (Glasgow area) you have to be under 38 at time of referral. GP did my bloods and a couple of SA's and we were referred to FS in the October, had first appointment in February, another in May for results etc where we were told that mrh carried a CF gene, the only way forward was surgical sperm retrieval and ICSI, none of which we are entitled to on the NHS as I already have a son from a previous relationship. We don't have health insurance and have spent the best part of £10000 so far.

A quick q for those of you taking royal jelly-I ordered some online which is 1000mg with a suggested dose of 2 a day, mrh picked me up some in a high street health food store which are 100mg at 3 a day, a huge difference in recommended doses, so I'm not really sure how much I should be taking.

Am off to write another stinky essay for uni today, I really hate this course, hope everyone has a good day

We're been trying to 2 and a half years. Although I feel like we wasted a lot of time during that first year and 4 months. At the very beginning I did not track my ov cycles, my doctor told me to hold off my taking my temperature daily as that can become obsessive. Unfortunately a parent passed away, we had few illnesses and the stress of moving house meant bding did not always happen. It was January 2012 when I stopped tracking my temperature and moved onto the CBFM.

I would like another blood test as it came back with raised prolactin levels and raised thyroid tsh levels. The doctor referred me to a specialist in this area. But I've endo for the last 22 years and was quite disappointed that the doctor did not also refer me to a FS for that.

TTC, you don't sound crazy. I'm also hoping your active holiday makes it work for you.

    Thanks Mrs Happy.

I've had a search and cannot find the fertility information I want from my NHS. In fact their pages are pretty poor. I will have to email them.
