Yes it was London prices and the initial consultation and the bloods and HFEA admin fee probably amounted to about £500 of it. I recall being told that future IUIs would be around the £1k mark but DH's sample for the IUI was such that we only did one IUI and were then told IVF with ICSI would be our best hope.0

After I posed my question I did a bit of googling and quotes seem to be around £1000 - although I'm sure there are add ons. Extra scans, FS appt, hsg if needed etc. good to know a rough idea though.
Cost wise it would be doable for us.
Hope Clomid cycle 4 works though & we don't need to consider it.0 -

Question for anyone who has had IUI privately what did it cost?
Think FS will discuss this when we see him on Sat - although my BMI may be an issue.
We paid about £1200. A lot will depend on how much of the drugs you need - every woman's different and the price of drugs is a huge part of all private fertility treatment."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Just had my 7 day progesterone test. Came back at 46.
How does that compare to others on clomid? 9DPO today and no AF yet so atleast my LP is better than last month.
I too thought each round of IUI was about £1000. Certainly more financially do-able than IVF but also has lower chances of success no?
Hope everyone is doing okay. I just shouted at my DS because I have zero patience today. I am a bad mummy14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Hi Lily - these were my prog levels on clomid
1st month clomid - 46
2nd month clomid - 16
3rd month clomid - 55
I'd say 46 is more than adequate!0 -

Indeed! I'm so glad I continued on it as I was ready to give up after month two - had bleeding from days 9-16 plus a short luteal phase, and then with that low progesterone level I was really upset, you may remember! So last month I was just hoping to get a high progesterone level let alone anything else!0 -
