I am so nervous about the injections!! (start a week on friday). It's not the injecting bit itself that bothers me - just the faffing about getting the right amount in the syringe, getting the air out, getting the syringe in the injector pen thing without it going off, etc.

I never bothered about the injector pen it seemed harder I just injected free hand, its easy after a few goes, its abit fiddly at times but you will get the hang of it.

    Good luck everyone.

lots of love bigZ, i can't help any cos i often feel the same way. but i also think that they wouldn't try clomid/iui/ivf if it never worked, they just wouldn't bother so it must work and why can't it work for you? :)

and some days i take the more pessimisitic attitude that even if i end up with no baby at the end of my journey, at least i can say i've really really tried and have no regrets, no what ifs like the babymakers doctor said

also they're understanding more from research and there's new methods all the time...ICSI is still pretty new but now seems standard x

Good luck to those injecting soon, sounds exciting and very positive for you all.

Zippy - Sorry you are feeling so flat about TTC. Teamlowe is right though...if the treatments didn't have a chance of working they wouldn't bother with them. Keep the faith.

I have a (very stupid) question that I would be grateful if someone could answer. Do your ovaries ever release immature eggs? As in, I am CD9 today and have an almost positive OPK. So, If I assume it will be positive tomorrow and then I ovulate either CD11 or CD12. This is very early for me and I'm just panicking that my eggs might not be ready? Is that stupid? I can't articulate what I'm trying to say very well. If your eggs aren't mature, do they just keep growing until they are...or does the rise in LH force them out? I don't really know what I'm trying to ask here. Argh!

Nevermind, I think I am just being irrational and silly. A quick google search put my mind at ease. Am I right in thinking that all the hormones that are required for ovulation to occur have to increase in a certain order? A 'lack' of estrogen (caused by clomid) means your body produces more GnRH. This causes an increase of FSH and LH which in turn triggers ovulation. So, clomid has just sped up the process presumably? And I won't be releasing duff eggs in the next few days? God I feel like a right numpty.

    Hi LM,

I can't offer any real answer, but I can say I had the same thing with Soy Iso's. I ovulated on CD9, much to my surprise! I had a 22-3 or so day cycle, which matches to a CD9 ov. That

Lily - my FS said that OPKs weren't reliable when on Clomid. He said that we should just 'be active' from days 12 -14.

BZ - hope you feel better about things soon. The 2ww feels harder each month.

OH asked when I could test today - it's not until a week on Saturday. He said 'oh, that long' - good job one of us understands!
