tea-we were advised to use protection from CD1 of this cycle, I am CD21 today and started norethisterone today, so we haven't had unprotected sex since then. Mrh wondered why, we didn't even think about the falling pregnant bit as that isn't going to happen to us and decided that it wouldn't be good for scans etc with old spermie stuff in the way, of course, in reality I have no idea why it is suggested, and just do as I am told :)

Had my Hycosy this morning (think some NHS areas call this HSG) - the scan to check my tubes aren't blocked.

It didn't hurt at all; I barely felt a thing. Only took about 15 minutes and the good news is my tubes are all clear. :D

We had our first FS appointment in November and frustratingly the second isn't until April. Still, after the scan result we'll go down as "unexplained" so the next step will be 6 months of Clomid. Annoyed that we won't get to start it until April when we see the FS again, but very relieved I don't have blocked tubes.

And, now the tests are all over with, we're reassured that trying is still worthwhile!

This may be TMI, but today it seems that for the first time in... oh... 5 weeks or so (since 10 Dec) I appear to have STOPPED bleeding! Yipeeeeee

It has also been a BD free zone for all that time (actually since the 4th), so if the bleeding can stay stopped hopefully we can have an enjoyable weekend!

(although, with the hormones, there is also a chance of massive argument over some minor issue, and a weekend of sulking!)

HyCoSy and HSG are 2 different procedures. The HyCoSy is considerably less painful or so my SIL tells me. Unfortunately I had the HSG!

Sounds like you and I are on the same pathway. November - April is very quick in terms of appointments. Infact, getting your HSG done so soon after your first appointment is good going to! Well done! I was told only 3 months of clomid though, then onto IUI. We'll see what ends up happening at my April appointment though. Sort of hoping I will be pregnant by then :o

Glad your tubes are good though, very reassuring. And hopefully you won't need the April appointment either :)

T2D - Great news about the bleeding! Nice one. Hope you have a lavely weekend

TTC40 - Good luck with the trigger and fingers crossed for you this cycle.

    Zippy - Are you 1dpo?

T2D - hope all remains calm & you can enjoy the weekend!

Had the trigger injection this morning. Sort of did it myself - well the FS was closely directing. Obviously hope I won't need to do this again, but in case I do it will save me a trip as I can do it. Also we go away 28 days from today so if my cycle is consistent it means we can try again next month.

He said that my egg quality results were good so he would recommend another month of monitor/ trigger.

I asked if there were any other options if not successful then. He said (I think) that there was an option for clinical support without IVF - this could be IUI. To do this I would need to lose a stone - to get BMI down :o I guess that's something in my control. Although if I found that easy I wouldn't have been overweight for all my adult life!

That said, I am capable of doing it - so it's up to me. If it was any of you guys saying this, I would be saying 'how badly do you want a baby?' - so the answer is to get back to SW eating plans.

    BZ, hope you've been BDing!

I'm on CD6 :-( If anyone recalls, I had a miscarriage last year and I would have been due this week so a few tears have been shed.

Mr P had his swimmers test on Monday. Now we have to wait for both our tests to come back. Hopefully we'll be able to positively move forward.

big loves peonie, due dates are so hard :(

glad it went so well for you vk and that you're so optimistic :)

my first appointment was in May, had tests then went back in September for results which showed I was ovulating after upping metformin dose. told to go away and try naturally and come back in March if not pregnant to get Clomid. I've ovulated once in four months so not going to get pregnant without Clomid. concentrating on weight loss for now as it's something within my control and as the harsh doctor said, how much weight I lose shows how much I want to get pregnant x

Possibly more like 2dpo tbh. Cervix is firm now and lower and closed - CBFM still saying "High" *sigh*

Anyone know if the raised estrogen etc with clomid can confuse CBFM? Cos I don't think it got it right last month either?

Once every 2 days. It'll have to be enough (or not!) cos there's nothing I can do about it now! :p

TeamLowe, I'm not sure if I said, but I think you're doing the right thing waiting for the appt and focusing on losing the weight in the meantime. I know it doesn't work for all, and noone wants to say/hear it, and I'm not saying it's solely the losing weight - but when I got to 31BMI my cycles suddenly went to once a month! And that was 3 cycles, pre clomid. Unheard of for me. All the very best with it anyway :)

T2D, hope it stays quiet for a nice weekend for you ;)

    Can't remember anything else :o

VK-how was the Gonal F inj? Did you feel okay afterwards? I'm trying to plan/organise time of work as I have lots of appointments over the next few weeks.
Also, how is egg collection and transfer? Collection will be on a Tuesday so should I take a couple days annual leave? The transfer is on a Friday, so I'm hoping to be back at work on the Monday, does that sound reasonable? I would like to take a bit of time off, but am counting the hours I have left of holidays and will be using a fair amount of them for monitoring appointments.
    Thanks :)
