Thank you, i'm not getting excited though, not yet. I need to get past the point of my MC and i need to get to the first scan.
I also need to decide how and when to approach it with work. We have issues with manual handling, and i think there are only so many times i can say i've pulled my back etc.
Anyway i am overthinking as always.

Yay!! :j
Congratulations ETO!
At what point was your MC - by which I mean how long til you'll feel a little more comfortable?
Really happy for you! Are they going to provide an early scan, or is it the 12wk one?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I only tested early as Hubby went away last week so we wanted to test together. I have tested everyday since as i havent quite believed it, but also it did cross my mind that as i had tested early it could be a false positive due to the meds. So i am in shock now.
Don't be anxious and don't be in shock! The IVF worked - this is what's meant to happen! Very good news - I had a feeling you might sneak a little BFP in under the wire. Congratulations..!0 -
I had a MC two weeks pretty much to the day i found out, so i hadn't seen a heartbeat and in factual terms not a MC, but it was to me, as i was pregnant then i wasnt.

So may be able to relax a little after 25th Sept, and i have a scan booked for 4th Oct, really wanted the scan on 3rd Oct as that is my 3rd Wedding anniversary so was being a bit emotional about it. But then i guess the 12 week point will be my next milestone, which seems like ages away, but as i am counting down the days until hubby is home, it'll kill two birds...
Thank you for the good wishes.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
So a propos of nothing, in terms of people being insensitive, I thought this was a good one:
Was having coffee with my friend this weekend, discussing this and that - you know, house prices, Christmas etc when she looked at me and said 'so tell me everything - when's the baby due?'
I just looked blankly at her, then she said 'I mean your SIL's - she is pg isn't she?'
Given she knows all about the infertility issues, it seemed surpisingly blunt and tactless...!
And was as good as the time another friend who, this summer, after I'd blubbed my eyes out about TTC for nearly 3 years and moaned that I was infertile, looked sympathetic then asked: 'So do you think you'll have another one then..?' Huh?!
I was a little rude back: 'have you listened to a single word I've been saying..?!'
Sorry - don't mean to sound in a self-pitying way, more amused by the way things keep happening..!!
Believe it or not I have mostly 'come to terms' with our situation. We can even laugh about it now and again. (Cue hysterical laughter..!)0 -
congratulations ETO, thats wonderful news xxx0

Chickpea - I am sitting open mouthed at your post. That is utterly unbelievable.
I have to say i have been lucky in that although i have had close friends, friends and work colleagues getting pregnant around me, i havent had anyone be so insensitive around me. But i also know a couple of girls that i will have to announce this to extremely carefully. But i have time to think about this.

Believe it or not - there are more..!
I will drip feed!
My sister came out with another good one:
In the kitchen one night a few months back, I was knocking back a large glass of wine. I wanted to tell her some gossip I'd heard about someone (naughty gossip, serves me right) and said to her 'can you keep a secret?' and she came back with 'you're pg, aren't you?'
I just said no, and pointed out that had I been pg, I wouldn't hve been swilling a large glass of wine...!0 -
