BZ - good luck with HSG today, yes they do cover you up. I did find it painful but only whilst dye was being flushed through and felt tender pain for couple days after but nothing to bad but as others have said take some painkillers before you go as that should help and I was told afterwards that it would have been less painful if I had had a full bladder so that maybe worth a try.0

I dreamt I had a baby last night. I couldn't see him though. For the whole dream he was on my shoulder and I was winding him. I can still feel how warm he was and how perfectly he fitted on my shoulder.0

Hugs Tealover - a nice but sad dream, keep the faith that it will be more than a dream soon.0

Those dreams are so painful. They can really haunt you. Hugs.0

Thanks guys. Just popped back to let you know how it went.
While it wasn't the physically painful experience I'd imagined it might be, it was devastating. Both tubes are completely and utterly blocked.
I know it's theoretically fixable, but it just feels like there's not one thing that's actually right with me.
So, instead of getting clomid in a couple of weeks, I'll be discussing surgery. Great.
Hope you're feeling a little better tealover. I know those dreams well, they linger"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Hugs BZ. That was the news I had too (although didn't get the results on the day).
I went from being relieved that they identified something fixable, to being frustrated that I hadn't had the scan sooner & therefore sound out, to being upset in case it stopped me getting pg forever.
I had a laparoscopy tp flush & clear the tubes - small incision & relatively easy recovery.
When do you go back to discuss options?0 -
4th september.
I could see the screen. And asked questions at the time. She did say that she'd tell me then and there though. It was a complete faff though and I had to have IV muscle relaxants too"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Huge hugs BZ that must have been a shock but it is fixable and does give you a reason as to why it hasnt worked but I do understand that it must have been devastating to hear especially when you have worked hard to get clomid but please don't give up hope hun0

Hey all
Hey BZ - sorry to hear the bad news. At least you know what's going on and you can make a plan of action now to sort it xx
Well, I've now been referred to fertility clinic from GP after me n other half having usual blood, sperm, chlamydia tests.
Got a consultation on the 5th Sept, and a ultrasound scan, and possibly a transvaginal scan on the 11th Sept. What are they looking for with these scans? Fibroids and such? Theyve sent me loads of information but dont explain what they could see that will explain the infertility.0 -

As for your scans, they're usually looking at your ovaries, and uterus, for shape and lining irregularities, any fibroids, any cysts, signs of pcos, and any signs of the worst kinds of endometriosis. They are routine, so don't stress too much about them.good luck
