Just a quick question: my partner and I went to see docs to tell him we had been trying for a year. So he takes a blood test from me, and I've now. Een called by the docs to come in and discuss the results. Does this mean there's something wrong? I thought if they were ok they would just say over the phone.
The other thing I wonder about is I have regular periods and clearblue monitor says I regularly ovulate day 13/14. Can still something be wrong with my hormones despite this?
Thanks as usual
Xx
There was never any suggestion that I wouldn't go back to the doctors to discuss the results after I had my blood tests. In fact, I was told to book the test and book an appt at the same time.
Regardless of what your results are, the doctor will want to discuss the next step - in my case a quick feel for fibroids and whatnot and a referral to the fertility specialist (my blood tests were normal).
You need to see the doc anyway, so try not to worry that this is because something is wrong. Even if your hormones aren't quite right, there are loads of things they can do."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I'm now booked in for my lap next Tuesday.
Didn't discuss recovery with the consultant when we saw him but I have asked his secretary about how long I should be planning to be off work. She spoke to him & came back to me today with 1 - 4 weeks! I was thinking it would be a few days.
I realise it will depend on what he has to do to clear my tubes - but I'm hoping I will be back to work for the following Monday.0 -
Hi,
need some advice please, I am on my third cycle of clomid, for the last 3-4 months my cycles have been 27-28 days. My period (according to the 28 days) should have been last Saturday, its still not arrived. I keep getting cramps, have alot of discharge (sorry too much info), tummy looks a bit bloated (but this is normal for me). I don't feel sick or tired, my question is when should I test, is it too early?
Thank you0 -
If your period should have been saturday then you can test now. What are you waiting for?!!! Good luck.0

Hi
thanks for your reply, I think I'm worried just incase my body is tricking me! One of the major symptoms is morning sickness - I have no sickness what so ever, which is another reason I have delayed testing.0 -
Not everyone gets sickness - get testing. Have you got one in?
If not, save your first wee in the morning & test with that once you have a test.
Fingers crossed0 -

Thanks. I feel a bit better about this today. When I first got the phone call saying they wanted me to go in to discuss the results I thought the worse. I suppose it's also reality setting in, this could be the first step on a very long journey, and it's daunting.0 -
Hopefully not. It could also be to discuss that there's nothing showing on the test results, and options of what you can do from here...? When do you see him? Good luck
Thanks Bigzippy, I remember you too from the trying for a baby forum. How are you? I go in next Thurs (on holiday in Devon this week so couldnt go)0 -

Don't ask!
Trying to adjust to life without Mil, process the grief, keep losing weight, fit in the tests fs wants around the ridiculously lengthy bleeding I'm having, before going back to see fs at the end of august.
Has your OH been checked yet/going to be checked?
Enjoy the rest of your holiday, hope you're getting better weather than us Up North!
let us know how you get on

Not at first. It normally takes a few weeks to start feeling sick although some women do feel nauseous straight away. There are other pg symptoms that are far more common in the early, early days like sore boobs, constipation, funny sense of smell or taste.
