I won, I won, I won! I've been Money Tipped!
hi all, back from my scan this morning, i have 11 large folicles and a few smaller ones, they seemed surprised i have so many with my low AMH, so i am happy with that, i have been told to drink plenty of water and eat plenty of protien, i have another scan on friday to see how things are going an EC looks like it will be on monday, but they did say there was a possibility of it being sunday as folicles are big.
hope eveyone is keeping well xxx

saffie, i would see about a private smear test too if it is going to hold up your IVF xx

What happened to performance related pay? Wouldn't it be good if it was 'no win, no fee'? From looking at some US websites, they do this (but then the costs are massive).
    Good idea:T
Perhaps you could shop around if you are going private?

    Hi everyone!

Staffie- I would not tolerate delays! I'd do as Nicki suggests and go private on this one.

Runnerduck - lovely lot of follicles, well done ovaries!

    Nothing new here - CD01.

    Have a good month, everyone.

Had Urologist appt today. Said he'd operate on hubbys varicocele if GP surgery would fund. Couldn't promise it would work, but said if he were our age he'd want to know he'd done everything her could too. Really not sure what that means. Why would the NHS not fund it? Why would it be up to GP surgery? Still waiting for them to call back with info.

10 weeks until my due date. Sad times, not coping too well atm.

Hope everyone else is fairing better

Great news Runner, hope they continue to grow and you have a great batch for fertilization.

Big Hugs Sexkitten, must be hard for you but keep your chin up.

Staffie - get another smear done if you can, it takes so long down the IVf route anyway.

Not a lot new with me. worth have extended my contract for another 8 weeks which is good in the money way. Still waiting for chromosome tests results and if they are OK and we get them back before AF arrives at the end of the month we will go for the frozen transfer, all being well with a one little frozen embie.

    Hi All

Hope everyones doing well .... got loads of posts to catch up on.. this thread moves SO FAST !!

Went back to the doctors today having recieved a letter asking me to go in. She has finally diagnosed me with PCOS which I pretty much expected so no major suprise.
She has started me off on a course of Metformin which I am part pleased about having read so many great things about it with people that have PCOS but im also quite scared to take them..

The side affects are apparently horrendous ' stomach cramps & diahrrea' to top things off I suffer with IBS and as a result have anxiety issues regarding the diahrrea piece..

I asked my GP in light of my IBS and anxiety issues I have read there is a Slow Release version of Metformin that has significantly less side affects and could I take those instead

In a word she said no because of the cost of them to the NHS we had to try the standard ones first.

To be honest I am terrified to take them and feel so upset and angry with my GP. I even said I wouldnt mind paying the difference and she said sorry it doesnt work like that. Take the standard ones for a month and she will see me again then. :(

Anyone have any experiance of Metformin? any advice / recommendations?

I've never taken Metformin, but from what I heard from Bigzippy, she started off with lower dose and weaned into it to minimize side effects. Hopefully she'll post the details here soon:o

SK - huge hugs for you at this difficult time

Juju - hope results come back quickly and all is ok so you can proceed with transfer.

Runner - that is good news, will keep fingers crossed

MrsRogers - I can understand why you would be concerned, maybe you could start slowly with them and see how they affect you. I have ibs so can sympathise.

    Hi

have never posted but try to make sense of it all and now i would like some advice, if possible.
    (Bloke by the way)

Wife and i have been trying for 2 1/2 years with no joy and went for IVF. Had egg transfer completed and 2 week wait was today and test proved postive. I know its wrong but don't want to get too excited just yet.
Reading all these sites about the risks, especially first twelve weeks and am reading about HCG tests. My question is should we be going for blood tests to ensure everything is progressing as it should be as the info states we won't be called to hospital for another 3 weeks.
Know its silly but any help is much appreciated.
