Congrats on the twin embabies Lisa and good luck - I have a good feeling for you..
Now you have to suffer the interminable 2ww - or is it 11 days since they are 3 days old already?
I'm 6dpo so I have about a week to go. It's unbearable. I swing wildly between extremes of optimism and pessimism. I still have my fake bfp - it's very pale now though.
I have no symptoms...0 -
Welcome PurpleJay.
You sound incredibly chilled out...I am in a similar situation, in that it took me 3 and a half yrs to conceive #1 and have been trying 2 years nearly for #2. I am 38.
I have seen various specialists in that time, first time and second, both NHS and private.
The NHS will do routine blood tests - day 21 progesterone test, CD1-5 FSH test and possibly LH tests. They may want to test your husband. They might do an internal scan to look for PCOS/Otherobvious probs and after that maybe a laparoscopy.
If they don't find any probs, they may send you off with Clomid (stimulates ovaries) as treatment of first recourse - but that might well be the extent of what you are eligible for on the NHS. After that, you're looking at going private for any further tests and treatments such as injectibles, IUI or IVF.
Hopefully you won't need any of that! Good luck!0 -
glad all went well lisa fingers crossed for your 2ww, hopefully you will have a bfp soon xx
chickpea, i've got my fingers crossed for you, hopefully the line will get darker again soon x
i'm dog sitting at the moment as a friend is away and the walks are great, would love to have a dog myself but hubbys not keen, with all the ducks, chickens and guineau pigs he says we have enough to be looked after when we go away, so i'm making the most of my borrowed black lab x0 -
Thanks RD - although sadly my (fake) bfp has now vanished, 7dptriggershot.
I know it didn't mean anything other than that the trigger shot hadn't left my system, but it was oddly reassuring.
Now I am left with a week to go and to be honest, very little hope..0 -
CCM so sorry x
