I got about 5 winks. Dont worry, I will be out for the count by about 9pm tonight! Appointment went well, and they wish us luck with the IVF. I have had about 2 hours this afternoon, so am not a total zombie
Sexk!tten, We will be partners, I think. Our drugs chat is on 1st June, dunno when due to start, I havent seen AF for over 10 weeks. I think they are going to give me drugs to bring it on, so I will have to time it carefully as we have a few things coming up which have been planned.
nichart - hang on in there - distraction is what you need. Find something really time consuming and absorbing that wont leave you time to think, but make sure you get enough rest! (pot, kettle, black!)
Toniq, positive thoughts please! Imagine those little blastos nestling into that nice thick lining, and the cells carrying on dividing, and implanting ........... Try not to worry yet, you will have time for that later, should it not work. But remember our Nichart is carrying a little miracle, and I feel it in my water that it is going to be a lucky time for you.
Its a shame about the IUI ChocCM, but better to do that than trying to achieve the impossible. You can try the old-fashioned way! (I know, its messy!) and see what you can do - if its a 'good egg' it just needs one little wiggly, - get your OH on the job!!!

Chick, i love ur attitude to all this it's fab, again i'm learning alot by what u r doing xxx
Hi Toniq - I'd love to tell you any of it is working, but I'm afraid I can't!
(I think we are 2ww buddies. Cool.)
I gave up Ibuprofen 6 years ago and at the moment I have given up all painkillers full stop.
As for sweeteners, I abhor the taste anyway - but since I have also given up all tea and coffee, then there's no issue there anyway!
++++++++
You're all probably wondering what I have been squandering cash on today? Well, let me tell you. I have ordered DHEA and CoEnzyme Q10 because I heard they might help. My Royal Jelly arrived today so I have started taking 1000mg of that. That brings my daily supplements up to:
Baby aspirin
Folic acid/prenatal multivit
Vit C
Vit E
High dose Omega 3
Royal Jelly
DHEA
CoEnzyme Q10
And today I have eaten:
Porridge, with cinnamon, pecans, sunflower seeds, blueberries and maple syrup (organic, of course!)
Salmon fillet with veggie stir fry (red pepper, onion, mushrooms, lime juice and coriander)+1 large glass rice milk
Chicken fillet with small sweet potato and sweet chilli sauce and spinach
I intend to have a coconut bio yoghurt later on too. Drinks have been water and herbal tea.
I bought a load of healthy foods from Waitrose today. Quinoa, amaranth, spelt, that kind of thing. I nearly bought some tea which was called 'Ready Mama' until I realised they meant 'ready to give birth' rather than 'ready to get pregnant'. Although I think raspberry leaf tea is good anyway when TTC (but not in early pregnancy), so maybe I should have got it anyway.
So I'm clean and I'd like to say serene, but I discovered another friend is pg today - cue tears (mine!). I'm over it (again). I have discovered that it takes out some of the sting of bump envy if I give the babies names (in my head!) - so the three bumps I have been confronted with today were nicknamed 'Wally, Bernard and Griselda'.
Colonic is looming. Man, I'm !!!!!!!! myself at the thought..
To take the sting out, my husband has said I can book some spa treatments for Sunday (he has no idea how much cash I have spent recently). I'm hoping to get a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow shaping. We're off on holiday to Spain next week, so some basic maintenance is in order I reckon..0 -
I got sandwiched between 2 heavily pg women in the swimming pool today - some men's fantasy, maybe - it takes all sorts - but my nightmare for sure.

Good morning:wave:
Toniq, how are you feeling?
Hope everyone else is fine too:)Well, we're back from the clinic with good news. We're starting our IVF!!! We have our appointment with the nurse on 14th for our drug talk (!) then will be starting next cycle which by my calculations should be around 22nd June (bang smack in the middle of Glastonbury - not sure what we're gonna do about that!) We were given odds of 40-50% - i'm liking those odds!Chocolate_Cookie_Monster wrote: »I had to cancel my IUI this morning.I got sandwiched between 2 heavily pg women in the swimming pool today - some men's fantasy, maybe - it takes all sorts - but my nightmare for sure.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Toniq - I SO didn't see Lilo's post like that till you commented. Well, why not eh? We've tried everything else!:rotfl:
Lilo, fabulous! I'll need a buddy, i'm sure i'm going to have a million and one questions and analyse everything to death!
Nic - I hope you're resting up and taking it easy?
OK girls, you've got me this far and I need your help again. What can I possibly be doing/taking to prepare my body so we have the best chance?
I'm already doing all the usual - no caffine, alcohol (the cigs stop now) and we've started Slimming World 3 weeks ago, since which time I've lost 5lbs and have a BMI of 26. Along with that goes lots of fruit & veg and i'm drinking 1.5l of water a day (working on brining that to 2l but prior to the diet, I didn't drink any )
We're also both having weekly reflexology.
What else can I do? I have 4 weeks to prepare.
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
Sexki11en, some light exercise 3 times a week until egg retrieval might be good for circulation. I did 20 mins running + sit ups.
I also did IVF acupuncture which was relaxing, but reflexology sounds good too:)0 -
SK - get in a lot of comedy DVDs - it sounds daft, but apparently if you watch comedy during IVF (particularly in the 2ww) it helps! Can't hurt anyway! And try to avoid watching the news - all that doom and gloom sinks into your subconscious apparently, and can harm fertility. I know, that sounds daft, but what the heck.
I'd make sure your diet is as clean as you can get it too - you know the drill, I'm sure!
With the exercise I've read that 'activity' is better than hard-core exercise - so yoga, pilates, swimming and power-walking rather than marathon running or boxing.
And lots and lots of distractions techniques - maybe plan a different treat for every day of the 2ww, like a pedicure, a cinema visit, a meal out, a pile of magazines, that kind of thing.
And say a little prayer, then relax! Once you've done your best, let God (or nature) do the rest.0 -
So all my lovely organic foods and stuff arrived today in two huge boxes from Planet Organic.
Lots of exciting food and drink - pomegranate juice, coconut water, almond milk, rainforest nut butter, goji berries, figs, seeds, olive oil, pumpkin seeds, organic berry granola and spelt pasta!
Also eco sanitary towels, dishwater tablets and detergent.
And best of all, my Tahitian Gardenia perfume.
I have booked a zen pedicure for Sunday - gradually, I am feeling more and more...decontaminated! I feel like Karen Silkwood!0
