this has gone in my 101 questions to ask consulatant on wednesday, ju do have any more details on this? I'll try anything before wasting my frosties xxx

All I know is that its not something your consultant will probably want to hear. We are so far behind on research in the UK as we have so much regulation to go through whereas in USA they don't. I think there 2 types of tests that can be done one is called a CD69 (blood test), I can have this done locally and will cost £200 its something they are currently doing at a clinic near me but the other test for NKC (natural killer cells) is about £1000 I think but not sure where this can be done. Drs generally don't want to know about this as its very controversial and its 50/50 whether they want to believe if it makes any difference, and I suppose its up to you if you believe it can make any difference too but at least it would be the process of illumination.

Sending hugs to everyone who needs one. :)

    Hi all.
So sorry to disappear on everyone and leave you wondering.
After many many blood tests and return visits back and forwards betwen our clinic and the local hospital today we were diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy in my right tube.
My hcg levels have finally began to fall fully and we are having expected management of the pregnancy, i.e we do not need any clinical intervention as long as the levels continue to reduce. My body should reabsorb any remaning tissue without the need for removal or an injection. This is obviously the best outcome for the situation but we are truly heartbroken, only success in almost 10 years and 7 cycles and it ends up in my one and only badly damaged tube.
I have repeat bloods on Thursday and as long as they continue to fall I will be monitored once weekly til they are back at 0.
We are now seriously considering having that tube clipped or removed (I have no idea how/if we can do this) as the chances of another IVf pregnancy ended up there are high and of course chances are next time we may not be so 'lucky' I have to admit when they first said it was ectopic i was more than ready for them to take the tube away there and then, I know it removes any hope of a natural pg but in all honesty that isn't ever going to happen.
    So now we wait.
Runner hun, i'm so sorry, I truly know how you feel, we are only just over 6 weeks but I feel your pain. I hope things can be resolved for you in the easiest way possible to enable you to move on when you feel ready, huge hugs and best wishes from here.
I truly hope some of you other lovely ladies can have some better news for the thread.
Thanks for all your thoughts and best wishes

Oh yes ladies, I have had level 1 and 2 immune testing done, it showed protein C Deficiency and MTHFR (clotting and immune disorders) which we are now treated for with steroids and blood thinning injections, despite the outcome the IVF did work so who knows, it is our first and only BFP.
We had these tests at Midland Fertility Services (Walsall) and I understand that they will perform these tests without you needing to have been or being treated by them, for the correct fee of course! I can't quite recall the charges (was 2 years ago) but I feel it was approx £1500 -£2000 for all the tests including the sent away ones.
