just got back from scan, they cant find a heartbeat, but blood tests are showing i'm still pregnant, we have to go back for more detailed scan and blood tests on monday, can't stop crying, think it must be bad news if they cant find it

It might just be too early , they often can't see heartbeat early on,

(((Hugs))). Could you be too early for a heartbeat? How far gone are you? Could they see the baby?

Oh Runnerduck - I know you will be upset but try to stay positive. If they are giving you a more detailed scan they must realise that the current scan just might not be picking it up or it might be too early. Its good that your blood tests show the hormone too. Are you ok otherwise? I mean in a symptom way....

thanks all, just feeling very down, no m/c symptoms, i'm 7 weeks, she scanned me and said she couldn't find a heartbeat so i'm not pregnant, then did a blood test to check my hormone levels. then when i got home they rang to say my blood results are showing i am still pregnant and the consultant has looked at the scan pictures and wants to do a more detailed scan on monday, and more blood tests to see if the hormone levels have changed, just really upset at the moment

Oh RUnner, so so sorry. This has happened to me too, three times. I wish you all the luck in the world that you simply have a hiding bean that was in a difficult place to find. PM me if you want to, I know exactly what you're going through.

Oh god Runner, I am keeping everything crossed for you that its just hiding. I can't imagine what you are going through but try and keep as positive as you can. Can't believe they are going to make you wait till Monday.

Runnerduck - so sorry your going through this I have read some ladies not hear the heartbeat at the 7 week scan, could the embryo have implanted a little later so dates are slightly out. The lady scanning doesn't sound very nice to be honest I am keeping everything crossed for you that at your next scan you get to hear the heartbeat and all is ok x x (((big hugs))) x x try keep positive x x

Thank you for the good luck messages still feel a million miles of a bfp but I can't believe I am getting to EC, injection free tonight too woo!! now I have got to EC I am scared of the amount of eggs, after that I will be scared of them fertilising then dreaded 2ww. Early start tomorrow will be up for 5.45am but will be sleepy most of day after EC so can catch up on sleep then

RD - sorry you have to wait until Monday - I wouldn't know what to be thinking - but I think there's grounds for optimism, because as the others said (a) you still have the pg hormones and (b) 7 weeks is early still, its heartbeat may not be seen for a few days. I really hope it's OK, but I can't imagine how you're feeling right now. Good luck on Monday.
