I would think it depends how long you've been asleep really. If it's 2am when you wake up to go and you only went to bed at midnight, then it's not going to be as concentrated as it would be if you went back to bed after peeing at 2am and getting up again at 6/7/8am (delete as appropriate!)

Did that make any sense to anyone but me? :rotfl:

Gin, I have everything crossed for you, I really do x

  • Gin I would say that you should wait until the 'proper' morning - I would assume that's normally around 7 or 8 so should give enough time.

BTW how long have you been getting up in the night for ?

I have been getting up at night forever! Oh, and I have a cat that wakes me up at 4am for a cuddle as well.

I am dead asleep at 10pm. Honestly, I was trying to watch Apprentice you are fired on Wednesday night, and I saw the first candidate (didn't see her leave), then the second came on, probably saw a dew minutes of that, and the next thing I see is the clock showing 22:37 and completely different program. Same last night, we were watching an episode of Dr House, and in the last 10 min I was really struggling to keep my eyes open. It was not even 10pm. But then I have always been like that - I need my bed early and I can get up early in the morning without any problems. (I get up at 6am for work).

So, if I get up at 2am, I would have been asleep for 4 hours, in at 4am, then 6 hours. Is it worth saving the night's pee as well and comparing the result?... The only problem is that I only have one test!

  • If you can I would try and make the 2am call your last so that you get at least 4 hours worth for the morning test. It might be worth trying to go twice before you go to sleep - that works for me these days and I have no more night time calls.

As for the cat - mine is the same and my pups, they have us up at 5am most days ;-)

Good luck Gin for your test tomorrow I have my fingers crossed for you. I would test on your first morning pee (anytime after 6am) it shouldn't make a difference if you got up in the night its all to do with the hormones, I think if its worked it will show up either way.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    Good luck for tomorrow morning.

I got 14 eggs on my ICSI but my hubby has a low count and poor quality. Only 6 fertilised. We went to blastocyst stage (day 5 embryo) and only one eggy made it. That one is now 18 weeks in my tum :). It can happen.

I'm rather confused right now, my 'cycles' are normally so short typically less that 23 day and often much shorter. The last 5 weeks iv'e been having reflexology and on cd 24 today, think i *might* have ov on 14/15/16 but not to sure, anyway iv'e had very light spotting the last 24 or so hrs and never normally spot so light. I was sure AF was on her was last night and drank half a bottle of wine, now im a little worried. Desperate for a BFP but at the same time i don't want to get my hopes up to much. Hope the wine last night wasn't a terrible thing either.

My best friend conceived her first after a couple of tabs of E and copious amounts of vodka.

I could go on about the number of women who drink through pregnancy (says me, 3 glasses of whisky in on CD17!) and everything works out fine.

Don't beat yourself up about it. It could be that the reflexology has regulated you a bit more. If you OV on day 14/15/16, you're only 8/9/10 DPO and that's prime time for implantation. I'm really not wanting to get your hopes up because I know what it's like, but as with every other month, all you can do is play the waiting game. It sucks, we all know it does, but it's all you can do honey.

Thanks SK, your so right about it sucking. I'm off to a party tommorow and not sure what to do about drinking a little. I know if i got pg i would never forgive myself for drinking but on the other hand we haven't used any contraception for over 3 years now.

Don't our bodies play such wonderful games on us. Now just have to will the spotting to just stay as that.

You know what honey, i'm in the whole 'meh' phase at the moment. I'm having a drink when I want one, I've started smoking again (NOT proud about that one and I will give up again) but I see all these people falling willy nilly around me and think screw it!

It'll be sods law that we fall when we've 'fallen' so to speak, and it's Christmas for goodness sake.

Let's face it, if you found out you were PG, you'd feel guilty for one second. Shortly followed by amazement, disbelief, happiness etc etc. There wouldn't be much room for guilt in all that!

It works for everyone else, so bottoms up, have a very merry christmas and you'll feel all the better for it.
