Since they said you have 3 follicles, I assume it'll be about 7mm onwards, as they can't see anything smaller than that.

Follicle grows about 1-2mm/day, so it'll be mature in 7 days. You are on CD7, so ov at CD14 should be fine.
You only need 1 good egg:cool:

It is an IVF cycle, so I guess they won't continue if the number is too small. It depends how my body responds to drugs on how well they will develop.

Some more follices may develop before your next scan they can change quite alot. Your linning sounds perfect as it needs to be at least 10mm for transfer and you have got plenty of time for it to grow a bit more.

At your next scan ask for the sizes then it will show how well the menopur is working. I will keep my fingers crossed that some more follicies appear for you. As said before it only takes one. Keep positive.

I felt the same when taking the drugs (normal) just gets lots of rest and drink plently of water.

I'm off on hols tomorrow but hope to come back to some BFPs!!

Thanks. I was going to ask today - but the doctor just left! I am drinking plenty of water - but maybe I am just flushing the drugs out of my system?... My biggest worry is that if numbers are too small, they won't be doing the cycle - and lets admit, with the tiny numbers the chances are getting lower that any will fertilise, etc...

I still think they will do the cycle if there was an egg in each one you would still have 3 eggs (I only had that first time anyway and one fertilised) its quality not quantity. The water is good for you so don't stop. Good luck.

Ginvzt, please carry on drinking the water, and lots of it, OHSS is very unpleasant as I have suffered before (i'm a bit of an over responder) and the water really helps keep it at bay. As for helping your body along, plenty of good sleep (a big ask I know but resting if not actually sleeping) plenty of protein, warm water bottle on the area for an hour a day (do not do this after ET though)
If I think of anything else i'll let you know, but those are all the things that I do, oh I also drink a pint of semi skimmed milk a day. Quality is important, quantity really not as jujug says, on my first cycle almost 10 years ago I had about 20 eggs, only 4 fertilised so it goes to show that loads is not really good.
    Good luck x

Thank you. I have a bottle of water with me at all times. I am a big herbal tea drinker, as I prefer something warm. I am on peppermint at the moment, and I do 4-5 big mugs (think nearly a pint) of it a day easily and then one more in the evening before bed (usually camomile).

I'll get on with milk. At the moment I have some greek yoghurt for breakfast, and a cup of caffe latte (decaf!!!!). I added couple of eggs to my salad today, and keep adding veg anywhere I can. I think I already had 4 portions of fruit this morning, and I still have salad and banana with me for lunch!

Sleepwise, I sleep ok. Apart from the last few days I got the back pain (up in the rib area) and it gets so much worse during the night - I was groaning with pain when I tried to turn tinight. I think it is when my muscles relax, I feel it more, it is ok during the day. I promise I will have an early night tonight.

Oh, and does cat count instead of hot water bottle?.. He loves sleeping on my stomach or lap.

Herbal tea etc is great, but be advised my clinic recommend 3 litres a day! That really is some going I know, but OHSS is really evil and anything to keep it at bay.

Your diet sounds fab, I assume you are a vegetarian? glad I didn't suggest extra red meat if that's the case!

    Best of luck

Lots of protein while you're developing follies. I went a bit overboard having eggs for dinner every day - ended up really constipated! So then I swapped it to milk (or milkshakes) and meat. Definately keep up the drinking. I couldn't believe how thirsty I was on all the drugs - you couldn't have stopped me drinking if you tried. Hot water bottle to help teh follies grow, but no hot water bottle after ET.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

No, I am not a vegetarian - I love my meat!!!! My husband laughs at me that I am like my father: no meat on the table = no meal served!

Actually, we had left over roast beef last night with quinoa and vegetables for dinner. And then I had a pint of milk and a brownie (with pine nuts and walnuts).

I went to Boots shopping evening last night, and I thought I'll pass out - I needed something to eat. Good luck they had biscuits and champagne, so I just got a biscuit - kept me going to get my basket filled (I have never struggled so much to spend £50!), and then I stopped at Sainsbury's to get extra milk, brasil nuts and sunflower seeds.

I am going for my scan at 9 am (have to leave in next 20 min to get there in time), and having the rest of the day off. Too much holiday left to use up this year!

Good luck for the scan ginvzt and enjoy your day off. I'm the same, loads of hols to use before end Dec, unfortunately I keep booking days to lol then having to work cos there's too much to do. Oh well - I have been working at hone neatly all this week so can't complain. Having said that, couldn't have been away from home much since wed cos AF arrived s brought with her a very very dodgy tummy :(.

Does all this mean I should be eating lots of protein every month to help ttc? I have quite a good diet in terms of eating completely home cooked meals without much fat etc, but could prob do with eating more protein and more fruit and veg.
Proud to be a moneysaver!
