okay i have been thinking more on these thermometer testing things, looking for info on what i am looking for, is it just a thermometer i put in mouth in morning at same time each day and check what i am at? is it a peak that explain i am ov'in or a dip?

You need to get a BBT thermometer with 2 decimal points.
It only tells you when ov has happened, so it won't help with timing BDing, but will tell you when to stop:p

It is to see if my tubes are blocked as they will hopefully put me on clomid and if my tubes are blocked then there is no point...


Day god-knows-how-manyeth and still no AF. Had a strange brown spot yesterday and though - here we go... but nope, nothing so far.

It's getting very close!!!! If witch hasnt' arrived by 20th then I don't think there is a chance I will make the appointment. Grrrrr

What I don't understand though is what happened to the follicle??? Surely if it is there, and it was there, then it either attaches or gets flown out with AF?? Or is there a third option?

Perhaps it shrank back or became a cyst?

OH has used it but found it didn't really work that well he now uses cialis which seems much better.

It's here now!! you wouldn't think I would be so glad to see the witch but I am this month. At least hopefully I can keep the appointment on Monday and we can move forward!!! YAY!!!

Kairi - good news on AF, at least you did actually O. Is a Hscosy the same as a HSG? I had a HSG a few months ago to check if my tubes were blocked

Qquaver - good luck at the docs tomorrow. Another option I have heard on other forums is Instead cups or needless syringes - if OH is having difficulties, then just send him off to fill up a little pot and self-inseminate if you think he will go for it! Sometimes, just knowing that you have another option takes the pressure off enough. Fingers crossed for some nice big follies

Talking about instead cups, as anyone here tried them? Apparently they have been designed to use during your period, but some girls use them to keep the semen inside near the cervix, not sure how much it helps though. I normally try and lie down with a pillow under my hips for 5 min or so afterwards just in case

Lilo & Stitch and Jujugaboo - sorry, I haven't had a chance to catch up on your stories. Have you been trying for long? Are you having any treatments?

AFM - CD20 and I got a positive OPK last night. We've BD'd the last 3 days running, but I might try and get another one in tonight to be on the safe side. I had 2 quite big follicles at my scan last week (1 x 17mm and 1 x 16mm) on different ovaries, so they must be massive by now. My left ovary is killing me at the moment, it feels like it's trying to jump out of my skin - I hope that's a good sign?
