I've been prescribed Norethisterone tablets to take 3 times a day for 6 days to bring on AF.

I made a mistake, and took sea sickness tablets instead on Sunday (day 5) afternoon & eve, Monday (day 6) morning & afternoon:(
It looks so similar. No wonder I was so amazingly sleepy.

I hope it is OK for me to continue Norethisterone from tonight, and have 3 more tomorrow (day 7).

I probably killed off my AF for good_pale_

oops Quaver! Should you take the last ones? I would check with the nurses or consultant, they may rather you not take the last three...

Nichart - I have been drinking loads. I thought I was doing it deliberately to fight off the migraines, but thinking about it I should't be able to drink this much so easily!

To those of you who've been through this before, when did your nasty side-effects kick in? Day 10 of the suprecur, and I'm ok so far - am I due for the crazies soon? Also, the nurses told me I would have a relief bleed somewhere between day 7 and 10 of suprecur. But I haven't - do I need to worry?

Oh quaver but I am sorry - you so made me laugh! I hope AF survives the sea sickness and you get back on track.

Thanks for the kind comments guys xxx

Good luck to everyone at the moment SO much going on - I hope it is all successfull

Doctor sorted out my referral to st Barts today, I have argued successfully to be referred on NHS, so dont have to pay at the moment. Although obviously IVF would have to be private as I am in my dotage! I am on day 22, had spotting on day 21 so god knows what is going on. Had MRI scan on head last Thursday - not sure if I want them to find anything or not - I would like to get to the bottom of what is wrong, but dont want it to be anything serious iyswim. And next month, I am going for day 3 and 21 blood tests to check I am ovulating as this hasnt been checked since last November. So, a lot going on!

Onwards and upwards girls, we fight another day!!!

I did think about that, but thought what the heck, and decided to take further 3. Will come clean if it didn't work, but would rather it did:o

Lilo you do have a lot going on, great that the referal is getting sorted, you will be at your appointment before you know it, hope the blood tests are all good and also hope the MRI scan comes back ok x x

jiblets I started with hot sweats and head aches and the moods with the suprecur about a week after been on, I was on 0.5 when I started on stimms I reduced this to 0.2 and the side effects got better but I became a bit emotional crying at very random things, probally from the stimms so good luck with that :o

Q oh dear hope things turn out ok with the tablets (sorry but you also made me laugh)

My medication got delivered today :D

Hope everyone is well x x
  • Well, tomorrow is T-day (test day). I am feeling incredibly nervous and quite sick to my stomach, although that could be the nausea symptoms I have been getting!! :D I don't know why really, because I have been here so many times before, it just isn't funny.

I am preparing myself that all this has been the ghastly PCOS kicking up a stink and that is why I am suffering with all the signs of early pregnancy. My hubby is out at a meeting tomorrow night and probably won't be home until quite late, so after a day at work I will be able to go home and slob with the cats and have a pity party if it is a BFN in the morning.

Good luck to everyone who is going for doctors appointments and taking drugs and injections and stuff. Braver women than I, let me tell you!! But then, I am a big wuss!! :)

    Have a lovely day everyone.

  • Hi everyone and thanks for the congratulations - thought I would pop in and see how everyone is getting on..

I've just done my 3rd pregnancy test :o, and it's still positive, and am feeling tired/queasy, but still quite anxious!

I've got a hospital appt on MOnday (results from fertility tests, which I'd still like to get, as I still don't know why my cycle is so irregular), I'm going to ask then if I can have some early scans.

    Good luck to everyone!

    It was a BFN.

Not a surprise, but totally gutted as usual. Had a sob this morning, and feel a little close to the emotional edge still, so hopefully I can keep my head down at work and wait till I get home to have a meltdown.

I have made an appointment with the doctor for next Wednesday morning to see what the hell is going on. I don't care if they have to stick mefull of needles and drain me of blood. I want to know why the hell I am getting all the symptoms of pregnancy, without the damn pregnancy. It sucks. (that is such an understatement, but I guess you folks know how that feels).

  • Hi crickett and sorry you feel so bad. My period was all over the place and when it got really late (with all sorts of symptoms that could be period or pregnancy or something else entirely!)and I'd decide to test, I would try not to build myself up - but it would still make me feel really terrible to get that BFN.
Hope it goes well at the doctors and you get some answers - this business is really frustrating - lots of waiting and not knowing what's wrong. But the ladies here will also help you through the ups and downs.
Hugs for today and take care of yourself.
    Alex x
