Remember - the lucky winner could be you. And even if you don't win, you could be helping us win and helping hundreds of other couples.
Best wishes,
This is what we could win xxxx
Shamus Husheer - Duo Fertility
The DuoFertility company was founded by a group of Cambridge University students in 2006 who came up with the idea of helping women get pregnant with a new sort of body monitoring and analysis system.
‘Our aim is to help create thousands of babies,’ says Dr Shamus Husheer. The monitoring system means women wear a small patch against their skin the size of a 2p coin. The data collected by the patch is then analysed by a small egg shaped hand held device which can predict ovulation and fertility.
Crucially though, this device can be linked up to the internet where the information can be relayed to the company’s fertility centre for analysis by a team of experts who can identify any underlying conditions which are proving a barrier to conception.
DuoFertility has already received European medical device approvals and a Europe wide trial and the first units are being sold to the public online for just under £500, although Dr Husheer hopes to reduce the price.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -

Had a manic day at work so I am glad its the weekend! Looking forward to completely relaxing with takeout and telly tonight (who says my lifes not exciting :rotfl:)
Not much going on here, I am completely clomid free now until my appointment with the specialist in a couple of weeks. I am day 33 now, I normally have a 31ish day cycle but the clomid has affected it so who knows!

Hi all.
I went to the docs yesterday to ask about me nearly passing out last week. He's made me an appointment to run my bloods, and other than that he hasn't got anything to suggest really. He did say though, that maybe my blood sugar had dropped a little and there wouldn't be any harm in me carrying some glucose tablets around in my handbag. And if it happens again I'm to try and get straight in while I still feel ill so they can really figure out what it is. He's lovely, he gave me a bit of time and checked my blood pressure, breathing, eyes and that. I expleained that I'm goign for IVF soon and feel that I need to be tip top in health and he was very sympathetic.
I've made a decision too. I'm going to start a blog while I'm going through the IVF, and not only that, I'm going to link to it on my facebook so that RL friends can see it too. I'm fed up of infertility being a taboo thing. I think I have gone through the stages of 'grieving' for my fertility and I got to the acceptance stage a little while back. Since then I am being very open with everyone (not just my friends) and am determined to spread the word. So I'm going to bite the bullet, and let all of my friends (some of whom I don't know that well anymore) see what I'm going through. Wish me luck!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Hi Jiblets...
I lurk on here mostly but wanted to say that I completely agree with you about the issues that surround infertility being an untalked about subject.
I had a miscarriage last year and, nearly on the day baby would have been due, found out someone I work closely with is expecting.
She doesn't know what I went through, and I feel awful that I can't be more happy for her. Part of me thinks that I should tell her, just so she can understand why I'm not more enthusiastic about her scan pictures etc but then am I making her happiness all about my own misery? If that makes any sense at all...
I want to talk to people about what I'm going through, but at the same time I don't want their pity, or for people to avoid talking about babies around me.
I'm hoping to get in to the London Marathon for next year (provided no baby arrives before then of course) and, if I do, will be running for a charity that supports miscarriages. And I've decided that will be my opportunity to go public... so many people suffer in silence and it really should be something we can all talk about without shame or embarrassment.
Monologue over... though I will try to be more a poster than a lurker in the future... Have got our fertility clinic referal this Tuesday so will probably be needing advice over the next few weeks.

Thanks beebuzz, I'm getting lots of positive reaction from my RL friends. (Here's the link.)
Well done with the marathon! Best of luck with that, and with the referral. Ask us all whatever we can help you with!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Hey all.
Still lurking and pop my head in every now and then. No news really to be reported here, trying clomid and bd'ing quite a bit, trying to keep fairly positive despite the clomid really messing with my hormones.
Feel a bit down as a friend has just told me she is pregnant, she is getting married soon and came off the pill and caught straight awayI never mentioned anything about my situation as didn't want to burst her bubble.
Jiblets - seen your post about doing a blog, think that's a fab idea!
Hope everyone is well.
Sending sprinkles of baby dust to everyone.0
