Hi Chickpea, I'm really sorry about your MC. As you said, it's hard when you have been thinking about your little pea and in retrospect it's no-longer there. About 2 days before my MC my symptoms stopped. I noticed the change but thought I had got through the sickness stage. I did not consider it was because I was no-longer pregnant.

Bella, congratulations and I hope this time you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Afternoon ladies. I've had a hectic day and am trying to get the energy to get back up off the sofa! Walked 10k, spent an hour or so with my friends 1 week old, loads of laundry, and just done the big shop.

It's all sitting around in bags while I try to get the energy to address it!

But MrsRogers thought I would say that I use Soy from time to time, and it's extremely effective for me. I ovulated this month on CD9 (!) and was only taking low strength Soy Iso's. You can get high strength ones really cheaply at Tesco. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=260787407

Normally I ovulate about CD14, so I'm going to stop taking Soy, as (based on no logic) CD9 almost feels too soon as the egg can't be properly ready by then surely.

T2D and Mrs Rogers, funny you should post this today, I've just been looking up about soy isos. I seem to be ovulating later and later (this month was CD29 which means I'll have a 43ish day cycle) and by that stage the egg probably isn't in a great state. I read that soy iso improve the chances of multiple, nice mature eggs being released so increasing the chance that a sperm will meet one of them - as DH's sperm count is so low this sounds like a good idea to me.

Going to send DH to Tesco tomorrow to look for the ones in that link and try them from next cycle.

    *runs off to buy soy*

I really need to stop trying everything that gets mentioned :) I've been taking inositol this cycle and I'm now CD35 and I don't think I've even ov'd. I'm not certain as I wasn't tracking but I don't recall any ECWM, and I don't have any post-ov. symptoms.

My cycles vary but tend to be somewhere in the 30s, or just into the low 40s. Am now thinking I've b*ggered it up with the inosital - did that with agnus castus a few years ago.

While soy makes me ovulate earlier, I'm not exactly the poster girl for TTC with anything!

I can't remember the dosage at all - but be careful if you buy Soy Iso's from places like H&B. I have it from them, and it's very expensive, but actually only a tiny bit of active ingredient. I think I was talking something like 9 of them (last year, when I first started) to get to a decent dose. The Tesco ones are much stronger - and cheaper. Assuming they still exist - the link says they are out of stock, but may well be in the shops.

I'm heading for about a 23 day cycle this month, which is incredibly short. I'm full of sore b00bs, and sore back etc already - so expect AF on Wednesday or Thursday.

    Morning lovelies,

This morning i was determined to follow a diet to help the Metformin do its trick, then a scan pic of friends announcing news, 60 likes and 43 comments and now the only thing i want to do is eat cake and curl up under the duvet....
I know my feelings are not her responsibility, but she couldve told me before, specially as shes well aware of whats going on. ...
This is her second, they started ttc a year after us...

At this moment in time i feel so unwomanly.....

    sigh......

hugs mokba. There are hard days, but hopefully good ones ahead.

All my activity yesterday, including then making a roast dinner, more laundry and cleaning, has thrown my back out. I was thinking it was AF, but it's getting worse and worse through the day, despite some strong painkillers.

As I'm apparently full of fluid from last month (if the scan was right) I'm also slightly worried this could be another surprise massive bleed. Same sort of intense pain, back and spreading to my stomach/lower abdomen that pre-empted it last time. hmmm....

Ah, boooo. :( First month of Clomid didn't work as I'm sitting here with a lousy stomach ache and a grumpy feeling.

I had high hopes from what the FS said, but I've since read online that Clomid has only a marginal success rate for women who are ovulating regularly and normally (like me). :( Apparently the most recent NICE guidelines don't actually recommend Clomid in these cases and rumour has it that it's basically a way to fob people off for another six months before referring for IVF. That's a bit harsh, I'm not sure if it's true.... Seeing the FS in December so will have to ask (subtly!).

Soy Iso did nothing positive for me and gave me terrible, terrible headaches. It actually made me ovulate later too and gave me an even shorter LP (it was only 8-10 days to start with). I took a range of doses over a 6 month period.

Clomid did work for me but I was taking a relatively high dose. The m/c was 100mg and the successful pregnancy was a 50mg taken during the m/c bleed. Teapot - Yes, I think it is often used to fob people off for a few Months and as you say, for those already ovulating it has limited success. Havig said that, the first 16 cycles of TTC = nothing. Clomid cycle 1# - nothing. Cycle #2 - BFP, but m/c at 6 weeks. Cycle #3 - Success.
