Big hugs tea, take the time you need today and don't worry about the work or feel bad for feeling bad. I hope things seem brighter tomorrow.

    Hi ladies

I hope it's ok if I join you, having been lurking for quite a while :o

My DH and I are both 33 and have been officially TTC for a year but NTNP for at least a year before that (I have lost track). Having had a few tests carried out, we've found out that he has a low sperm count (2 million per ml with total volume 2 ml) and only 24% motility. So it seems that we are in it for the long run but this probably isn't going to happen for us without help :(

Currently we are waiting for our GP to come back from holiday so we can find out what happens next. We have an appointment for 22 August.

We only go the results of the repeat SA yesterday and up until then I still had a bit of hope that the original sample had been left out too long or something but it seems not. Have to admit I'm finding it all a bit difficult to cope with and feeling angry at the world in general but pregnant women in particular!
  • Creeping in......

    Hi all,

Was hoping i could join in also. Wel actually i was hoping that i wouldnt have to but im sure we all were....

    Little background:

ttc since feb 12. Diagnosed with pcos May 13 but suspected i had it long before then. Good old Dr google. On the pill since i was 17, currently 29, no ovulation till about Oct 12 then came terrible spots, hair, long llooonnnggg cycles etc.

Had 2cps and 1mmc which im currently awaiting the results of. Hospital cant decide on chromosome abnormality or partial molar so tissue sample currently with Charring cross and will get the results in Oct:eek: Again from Dr google im assuming its triploid and there trying to determine the molar aspect?

DH (30)has had sperm analysis done but we wont get the results of that till Nov/Dec at our next fs appt. We live in NI and the length between appts seems crazy.

Fs mentioned starting clomid at the last meeting but his plans may change now although i hope not. Cycle of mmc i conceived on day 74 so im really banking on the clomid now!

D&c was 9weeks ago and no af yet although we will have to stop ttc until Oct when we get the results but thought chatting with you ladies could keep me sane till then.

Gona read back now and get to know you all although i have been lurking since pcos diagnosis but too scared to join in.

    Have a good day all.

    Welcome angel and OWIU.

Feeling angry is perfectly normal, I think it's fair to say we all go through phases like that so don't feel bad about it.

OWIU - I don know how you're staying sane with those log waits between appointments. That would drive me nuts!!

He's not really, no, but he is on Wellman conception vitamins. Should I be feeding him walnuts/brazil nuts too?

OWIU I'm originally from NI too, whereabouts are you from? Can't believe you have to wait months for the SA results, that's terrible! We had ours done last Wednesday and were able to phone up yesterday and get them.

angeltreats and OWIU, I've been putting off a move to NI until after we've finished treatment here, because I didn't want to start at the bottom of the waiting list again. My life has been on hold for two years now. Am moving over in October hopefully, if ICSI goes ok this month. What is the situation with IVF like over there? x
  • Thanks everyone for the welcome:)

Angel im from just outside Antrim. Were did you live? The waiting times are terrible. DH had his SA at the start of June so itl be 5mths to get the results. However, they have the results by now, its just the waiting for a consultants appointment.

Vseviour i think the wait is around 9/10 mths with only 1go however ive only looked into it briefly online so i havent heard that from my consultant or any reliable source! Were are you moving to?
