Congrats Becca! Fingers crossed for an uneventful safe nine months.
AFM. Well, I guess I can call CD1! Good for sure, but bad in a sudden very messy huge amount of blood, all of a sudden when I stood up from my desk at work. Thankfully bathrooms are nearby, but it was literally like a tap. Sorry! Tmi! I was wearing a full length black skirt, which was a godsend. Its covered in blood, but not visible.
I had to tell a lady at work, and have jumped in an expensive cab home. Phew! I'm relieved!! And not really embarrassed - its seems somewhere recently I abandoned the embarrassment gene!0 -
Congrats becca & chickpea. Great news, lots of happy times ahead
Been lurking a bit as trying to ignore the whole thing. Feels like this is going on forever. Barely know any unpregnant/childless friends now, argh!! Clomid totally messed up my system and in the end I was oving about 2 days after finishing them. Waste of bloody time. Praying at my next appointment they don't fob me off again for another few months.0 -
Thank you. I must confess, I had been planning to exit the thread and wish everyone well after my 40th birthday in July - on the basis that my thirties had been a wash-out fertility-wise, so there was no real grounds for optimism in my forties - so it was a real bolt from the blue. I guess persistence pays sometimes.
I even vomited this morning, so it's real..!
I turned 40 in April.
I have to say I didn't feel much like celebrating the fact!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
It's kind of weird feeling pleased for you timetodeal given that in normal circumstances what you describe would be every woman's worst nightmare. Only on a trying to conceive with complications thread! Hope this is the start of your cycle getting back to normal again.
The 40th birthday thing is a kicker. When the first of these threads started I was 39 and had been trying for well over a year and my 40th birthday came and went with no pregnancy in sight and I felt as you described MV, but I ended up having Edward (just) before my 41st birthday so whilst there is still a cycle, nothing is impossible.0 -

Yes, I suppose that is true! Maybe I am losing my mind.
It wasn't too bad. A black maxi skirt saved my blushes, and while most of the team realized something was going on, they wouldn't really have guessed what. I work with a bunch of guys, and a lovely woman who was very supportive and I trust her 100%.
The pain was mainly yesterday, so I had assumed it was another false alarm.
You know, I think I am just not actually ready to be back at work 5 stressful days a week. It's just over 4 months since someone was messing around with a scalpel, and perhaps I do need to give myself a little more of a break. I was very down this week, and in quite a lot of physical pain most of the time. Back pain, headaches - probably all period pain, but also from fatigue and spending too much time at my desk.
I might see how I feel on Monday, and maybe get signed off for a few days. But AF showing up is a weight of my mind, I already feel happier and calmer.0 -
*waves* hi all, one year and counting for me now so thought I'd say hi0

Hi Pickle,
Welcome! The ladies here are all very helpful, but still it's hard to get to this point. Is this your first you are trying for?0 -
Yes, my first, but we left it rather late and I'm already 35..0
