Thanks everyone!
Onestep - Thanks xx!!
Things that may have helped:
-Tinkering with carbs in my diet. I went mostly low-carb/sugar free in Jan (and lost quite a bit of weight.)
Basically, I think Dr Dukan got me pregnant!
(Seriously, I think upping the protein component of my diet and reducing the sugar may have helped egg quality over last few months...then when I piled back on a few pounds in the USA during the 2ww maybe my 'eat (lobster'n'mac'n'cheese pizza..how can I refuse?), drink (quite a few frozen margaritas, oops) and be merry' attitude helped with implantation? I don't know, it's a thought. I'm going to put low-carb on the back burner while pg though (but will still try to avoid sugar). (I think it may be 12 months from now though before I can get back into the jeans I took away with me. I had planned some hard-core no carbing to fix the USA pounds on my return to Blighty which now won't be happening.)
-I read that someone - was it TeamLowe? - had taken Inositol which may have helped, so I took that for a week or two before we went to USA. It may have helped me too. It didn't do any harm anyway!
-I do not know when I OV'd this month - I quit my OPK habit a couple of months ago. (Maybe my ignorance helped with the elusive 'relaxation' that comes so highly recommended by the fertile world?) My DH AWOL with work CD8-CD14, so when he came back and we DTD CD14, CD16, CD18 and CD20 the timing must have been 100% right (by accident) for once. Luck.
-The main thing that may have improved my odds of conception though is a slightly complicated work situation whereby, as I said to DH - as a joke - a few days pre-BFP that this month represented our best chance of a BFP because if it happened, it would be majorly inconvenient and expensive work-wise. Sod's Law! Whatever the cost, it'll be worth it though...!
