    Hi ladies

I hope you don’t mine me delurking to ask a question on behalf of a friend. She had an ICSI transfer on Friday, so three days ago, and has been bleeding a bit today. From what she tells me it’s fresh blood and is a bit more than just spotting but not full blown AF. A google search would suggest it’s a bit early for implantation bleeding - does it sound like this is anything to worry about/should she phone the clinic maybe? Poor love is worried sick :(

I never had any bleeding after any of my egg transfers (until my period that is). I think she should phone the clinic. However, I don't personally think it's too early for implantation bleeding - I'd say it's spot on timewise.

    Congrats Chickpea! Fabulous news.

I'm off to the gynae tomorrow for a colposcopy. Hopefully some kind of news on my lost AF, although I'm not optimistic. He mainly focuses on cancer, and doesn't seem that interested in actually TTC. But maybe that will change once I get past my approved 6 months waiting period.

It's CD81 for me today. Good grief.

Re. the bleeding, I would have thought three days after transfer would be about right for implantation. Remember, the embryos are already a few days old by the time they get put back, so although it's only 3dpt, it's going to be more like 6-8dpEC.

Absolutely. And if you have a blasto transfer, that embryo is going to start implanting straight away because that's the stage it's reached in its development.

    Hi,

So had a really frustrating day today. Went to the gynae, and while he clearly listened to me, he really had nothing to say other than wait. He said quite often they never know why periods stop, or even why people are infertile. He said to wait until my MRI (which is late July) and then he will refer me back to another doctor who focuses on fertility.

I've now skipped 2 periods, and soon to be a third, but I'm still being told it's probably stress. I am so NOT stressed! Well, maybe I am today, but when I missed the first one I had actually forgotten about it, and it was about a week later when I even noticed. I've been on holidays and feeling good - so I am at a loss as to what to do. I feel like they are all saying it's my fault, but I don't feel stressed, so I don't know how to reduce stress I don't feel.

So frustrating, and I was back to randomly crying today, which I thought I had left behind. I just feel like my life has been on hold for so long, and I was hoping in August we could move on, but if this continues then who knows when we can think about trying again.

At least I found out the problem must be hormonal. He physically tested if the cervix/where the cervix used to be area was blocked and it isn't. You can imagine how painful that test was... but at least now I know. The fertility doc is at an IVF clinic, and I have a feeling my private health cover won't allow me to see her - even though the problem seems to come from the cancer treatment, but I bet they will be difficult about it.

Overall !!!! day. Red wine and chocolateathon tonight.
