PartMouse - sending big hugs. Dont compare your journeys to other people's as all our journeys are different but will all understand each others pain, anger and frustration and we are all here to support each other.0

MorningAll,
I’ve justgot back from my first appointment at the fertility clinic.
I thoughtI was seeing a specific doctor (female) but when I walked in it was a differentdoctor (male). He also wasn’t very friendly and seemed quite stern so Istarted preparing myself for the appointment to go bad.
He tookall my history and then examined me and afterwards said that he’d arrange aHSG. That surprised me as I thought they wouldn’t do anything like that until Ilost some more weight. I broached the subject of clomid as he didn’t reallyaddress it (and after all that’s what I was there for – I don’t ovulate).Initially he said I’d need to get my BMI to 30 which seems unachievable. Aftera few tears he agreed that I could have clomid at BMI 35.
So overall the appointment was quite positive :j
Edit: sorry for the formatting. It would appear writing in word and then copying and pasting on here does not work too well *doh*0 -

Awww tea.
I love the way you can connect with music and it can make you feel a certain way. But you're right that it's not so helpful when you connect with music that makes you feel sad.
But maybe you needed that moment. We often try to avoid our negative feelings but sometimes you just need to accept that they are there and feel them - and maybe the music has helped you do that.
Alternatively find the cheesiest song ever and go wild singing and dancing along.
Either way, have some dodgy group hugs :grouphug:0 -
Thanks fannyanna x. How much do you need to lose to get your BMI to 35? Just tell me to go away if that's tmi!! There's some ladies on here that have done amazingly well with weightloss, and you know we'll all be cheering you on.0

No, it's fine. From where I was it's about a 4 stone loss. I've lost 2 already so another 2 to go.
Ok, so I might have gained some over the past few weeks from comfort eating so it's probably more like 2 and a bit0 -
Wow, 2 stone loss already is amazing! That shows some serious willpower. Looks like you already know what you're doing, so guess it's just more of the same for the next few months.
Can definitely relate to the comfort eating recently - I popped a button off my work trousers this morning and they're now held together with a paperclip!0
