The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Conceive when its just not happening (12m+)

Morning everyone.
I had my second scan this morning. Follicles are growing really well - some are 11mm and 12mm already!! The nurse said its a good job they reduced my Gonal f to 150 from the start as 225 would have been too much.
She said my EC would probably be Monday, but could possibly be as soon as Friday. My next scan is Weds morning.
We've been having injection dramas. OH did the first cetrocide injection this morning, and I think he must have done it too quickly as there was z puddle of liquid on my skin afterwards. I freaked out as I'm worried that it will be a major problem that the whole dose didn't go in. I told the nurse when I got to the clinic and she said it would be ok, but now I'm paranoid that I'll start oving too early, especially as my folicles are already quite big. Plus what if we keep accidentally going the same thing and leaking more liquid tomorrow etc? Aargh, stressed!!No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011

lucy - I had similar with one of mine (can't remember which one it was but I can remember it all dripping lol). There's nothing you can do about that one now, and the nurse didn't think it was an issue so I wouldn't worry (easier said than done I know sweetie).
Just take it slowly, and make sure you've fully pushed the needle in before you take it out again. I used to press it in, wait a couple of seconds, then take it out really slowly (I also think you get less bruises if you remove it slowly, but I could be totally making that up).
The clinics know what they're doing - you have so many scans and checks, etc. If you did end up needing an extra shot of something to balance things out they'd take that into account.
The amount always varies a bit anyway. Sometimes I'd be there ages and just couldn't get the last bit of menopur out of the third bottle.
Fwiw, I am always impressed with you ladies that have your OH's do the injections! I wouldn't let mine anywhere near me with a sharp implement... not that he'd want to do it in the first place. Clearly I am just a massive control freak

Thank you so much Tea, that's really reassuring
Haha, I'm tempted not to let OH do anymore (I've been doing the Gonal f's myself), but he likes to feel involved, bless him.
Urghh I'm sat at work feeling really sicky and bloated today. No motivation or concentration, don't wanna be here!!No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011

Bloating is a real pain when doing IVF, but it disappears quite quick after EC.
I'm sure they are tracking your ovulation - when I did it I was also doing a nasal spray that ensured I didn't ovulate. Maybe that's why they are looking at Friday for EC. So quick!
I wouldn't let my OH near me with a needle! And I need lots for IVF and post operative stuff. I have a nicely super soft belly, so I could do it myself. And since one of the operations my right thigh basically has no feeling, I'll use that next time.0 -

Hope the scan goes well Part Mouse x
I honestly don't know how much longer I can do this for. I was in tears leaving for work this morning for no apparent reason, I just feel depressed all the time. I just feel like giving up but then that would be worse than carrying on trying. Why does this have to be so hard?
Sorry for the self indulgent post, I just needed to get it out somewhere!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14
